I remember at school when popular films came out you'd get kids being like "I saw it like 3 times" and I'm like "cool... I saw it once... Which is, and this is true, enough"

Honestly just thought she didn't like the way the captain of the ship was turning the boat.

Or just looking anyway; depending on the role they might only require that you speak English.
I definitely think it's a good idea to try it. I'm glad I had the experience to live in Switzerland when I did. But after a while I did get sick of it and wanted to move back.

It's all those hills. If you just drive over them then it's much faster and more fun (but you do need new suspension afterwards)

Best of luck, I'll be curious to know how it works out for you!

There's certainly an element of "the wolf you feed" about social media. If you engage more with positive people, you get positive outcomes which I much prefer. I try to avoid engaging with pile ons or dunking on bad takes.

It's like "At first they came for trans people and I said something because I've read the rest of the fucking poem."

A younger me was really into trying Colemak because I thought "well as a programmer I'm typing all day" except I'm not, I'm mostly in meetings.

I think a fair few have closed unfortunately.
Not exactly related but there was a swimming pool in Salford which closed because it burnt down...

Seldom does an album tell a story in the way Public Service Broadcasting do, their album The Race For Space is definitely a "sit down and listen to it properly" kind of album.

Poor Little England by The Undercover Hippy. Billy Rowan continues his long trend of being absolutely based. I think this is a standout album for me for the last track, Breathe, which I think anybody who struggles with anxiety should have a listen to.

Consign to Oblivion by Epica. Honestly kind of a challenge to pick a favourite album by them but I think this is the most rounded and consistent. Though their live album The Classical Conspiracy is an absolute experience!

One that got a mention from @flintfox.bsky.social recently, Why Make Sense? by Hot Chip is definitely one of those "got me through a difficult time" albums.
