That's a fine addendum. Frankly speaking I don't want to get Anyone killed.
What's your idea of an ideal outcome here, based on all that's happened so far? Curious about your thoughts, you seem cool.

Amy Klobuchar confirmed Marco Rubio. Hard for me to care what she has to say when her stamp of approval is on various parts of the regime.

You know...this back and forth on every single legal challenge has a corrosive effect on the percieved objectivity of the law. Similar to the way truth is being degraded. If reputable judges so often submit opposing rulings, a perception will arise that the law is subjective.

Even clearer, physically assaulting mothers for being mothers, students for being students, protestors for protesting, latinos for being latinos, immigrants for being immigrants, all of that is just as wrong.

So if they can define whatever actions they want as deserving lethal force, when they say "if you show up we'll shoot you" is all the advice going to be don't show up?
My advice to anyone is Know The Risks of your actions and plan accordingly.

The need to add the "weak" modifier to "dictator" is weird. Like, if he was a "strong" dictator it would be fine? People so obsessed with trying to insult him they mix their messages to the detriment of a very clear message.

Can't overstate how sad it is that vulgarity is somehow seen as a meaningful way to escalate public dialogue. I mean say fuck, shit, sure. But saying "They are killing children" shouldn't need a profanity bump for people to understand or care. Dropping F bombs hasn't stopped them dropping real bombs

They're already over. Like, as a party, as an actual bulwark or focal point for our collective energy, they are over. They all watched Mr Smith Goes to Washington and thought "this'll handle everything." They split their stats between speech and charisma. No Strength, no Stamina, no Constitution.

They should just walk away. The mission is illegal. The Commander is illegitimate. Jesus, if this is some Milgram experiment BS and they will just kill us with tears in their eyes against their better judgement, because some asshole told them to...Are we that easily controlled?

No jokes. This is law enforcement in a climate where they are encouraged to abuse their power openly. This is the mask off moment where you realize they are terrorists ruling via threat of pain and death.

This person just said the whole police force in that county will counter non-lethal action with lethal force. Said that whole police force will kill you for throwing a brick. Said they won't do anything to preserve life, deescalate, they will jump straight to kill. Protect and serve? A fiction.

Their side is using force, violence, and death.
If we raise our voices or make any sudden movements they are deploying military assets and local goons.

The only peaceful paths forward I have seen are some variation of "vote Dems." Then folks go on to express their disappointment with Dems, calling them ineffective with no articulated plan or vision. This is the failure of the 2 party system: the assumption that at least one choice Must be good.

"Inskeep: You don't think that anything that he has done is beyond his authority as president?
Mace: I support Donald Trump 100%. I don't think he can do enough. I think he needs to do more."
That point of view marks her as incapable of useful insight. Sycophants are just echoes of their idols.

He doesn't need to hold up a sign to justify himself to Anybody. He's standing there alive, a fellow human being, deserving the same health, happiness, respect and fulfillment that any human being deserves. It's a default, it's inalienable.

My point is that demonstrated ability to do the task and meet the challenge is what we judge on. Why attack someone for being old when the real concern is that they aren't knowledgeable enough to do the job?
comment in response to
post
I'm not arguing that doesn't exist, you're correct, that is the tendency. But, there are plenty of elders with demonstrated understanding. If it was them in the position, we wouldn't say "Even though they understand, they are old and we don't want them," right? Or do you disagree?
comment in response to

Not sure why you put quotes around something I didn't ever say. I said it's not "their" age. I'm talking about specific people and saying that their lack of understanding is the problem. You're talking about a broad phenomenon, the tendency for elders to not understand tech.

Stop lending credibility to the designation of "criminal" at all. If you've broken a law, then technically you are a criminal. That's meaningless because not all laws are just. For instance, EVERY escaped slave was a criminal, proudly, until the laws caught up to ethics and morality.

It's not their age it's their understanding. Plenty of elders who have that understanding, and plenty of young people who don't. Criticise them for their actions, highlight their lack of understanding, don't attack them for having lived a long life, or laud them for Not having done so.

It. Was. All. For. Show.
If you're still sifting through the words of the regime and it's reps for some true, useful insight, I don't know what to say to you.
Turn All your attention to sources honestly reporting the abuses of the regime and giving practical instruction on effective resistance.

The very idea that we have to call them to tell them whats in the bill and that it is bad underscores how broken this system is. Like I'm calling a fire to tell it it's immolating me.

Weird to me every time he makes the calculation that mentioning death will be advantageous to his message. Who is really out there thinking this apathetic demon has some compassion? His policies have killed so many people. Their whole slogan is "Suffer and Die"

Rich people show up and say stupid shit and aren't dismissed like the average person. Money just makes people pay attention. Check any rich account anywhere, including here, and you'll see their most fart-in-the-wind level musings get reposted like they are the meaning of life.

Screw that. Humanity comes first. It's the adherence to bad law and broken systems that got us here. Basic humanity, something innate and inalienable that you don't have to swear to, that no one has to write down, that can't be amended, it just Is. That is what I appeal to.

In the second paragraph, you can replace "Hamas" with "Israel". Why is it that Israel can, from a position of power, with US support, commit acts of terror, and that is "defense?"

More importantly, people reliant on AI will have fewer novel insights. The incoming society won't know how to judge what counts. Literally raising people to outsource their ability to communicate and critically think.

Now Cons are in power, it's "against their policy" to say something as mild as that. They want you to interpret their spineless flip flopping as being unbiased and objective, but they really are practicing appeasement to survive. Terry Moran was a sacrifice, pure and simple.

Corporate curated, for-profit news is 100% an attempt to steer the narrative in direction that promises the continued existence and profitability of the network. When Dems were in power and Trump was a candidate these talking heads called him far worse than a "hater" daily.

So many just asking to get "back to normal." That's a variant of "making things great again." We don't need to go back, we need to launch forward into something new. The sort of diversity, equity, and inclusion that has literally Never existed, so we can't look back at it. We have to make it!

My intention is to exhort people who don't have to rely on a sanitized, profit oriented, corporate curated version of news to find sources as free of that as possible.
I don't mean to say Maddow et al don't spotlight or communicate any useful news.
