Hilariously, the SEGA staffer who originally teased this image had referred to it as "Winged NiGHTS," and I remember thinking "ZOMG MY WISHFUL THINKING JUST CAME TRUE" and then this design was revealed and I was like "...oh," lol. Those aren't wings, don't get my hopes up XD

I would've loved a feather motif for NiGHTS tbh, to contrast with Reala's black feathers. NiGHTS' looked like they were modeled after a bluebird, a bluebird with mildly iridescent feathers, lol.
