She’s such an awful and vile person. I’m glad my oldest never got into her books and I have no plans on introducing her books to my youngest.

I feel like I arrived at a really cool party with lots of fun and interesting conversations going on and full of people I admire. It’s great but the cool kids keep calling it lame and talking about ditching it to go somewhere else

This is all so fascinating. Thank you for taking the time to write it up.

Isn’t there like a World Cup in the US soonish? And an Olympics in a couple of years? Seems hard to have those without you know people traveling here from other countries…

I’m going with enemies (maybe enemies to friends over the course of an ocean summer camp). Beluga is out there swimming wild and free and baby shark is dealing with major intergenerational pressure. Daddy shark sounds like a lot to live up to tbh.

I enjoyed that one! And I believe there’s a sequel which I haven’t gotten around to and your post is my reminder to do that. Thanks :)

My current frame of reference for Doctor Who is Inspector Spacetime from Community. I’m hoping it’ll be useful :)

An hour from Boston counts, right? We can’t get enough of @gibsonsbookstore.bsky.social in Concord NH. Can you blame us with awesome displays like this? Plus awesome booksellers and coffee to boot. #indiebookstoreday #books

The B. Stevenson “Everyone in my family…” series is the perfect chord but I’ve read all of them. Also no books to make me cry or feel profound things. I’m already reading Careless People and looking for a distraction read/listen

This is a violation of the therapists’ license and puts them at risk of loss of licensure and financial penalties if not criminal penalties.

Not to mention people who have been banned from X. Are they getting back in?

Ack. Still need that edit button. Trying again: “I feel this so hard”

It plays at 78 rpm. It worked much better after I figured that out!

Not familiar with Roger Whittaker but that is an impressive knit cardigan he is wearing on the cover. In what feels in contrast to this look songs apparently include hits like “Mexican Whistler” and “Dirty Old Town”. Will try this one later #vinylsky #xennial listens to #vinyl

First up, not 1, not 2, not 5, but 12 records by Englebert Humperdinck. Not sure it’s my musical taste but maybe these something in here worth keeping? #vinylrecords #vinylsky

Wow. When you posted previously that the annoying sky had arrived and were popping up on your comment section, I didn’t quite get it. But I do now. And I appreciate your post and it is exactly something I’ve been thinking. Feeling more and more like taxation without representation.

Acknowledging my own lack of understanding of this topic, even if this was true wouldn’t Poland also just raise their prices if their competitors prices were up? If I’m selling my services for $100 and find out most of my competitors are selling for $200 I would definitely raise my rates. ?????

Not quite the same but I’ve been following you on Bluesky for a bit somewhat randomly (I liked your content) and only recently realized you wrote books I really like (like Evvie Drake) which also feels like a (tiny) hat-tip from the universe. (Sorry for not connecting those sooner.)

Now I’m following both of you.

There’s currently 60 people waiting for audio and 50 for text at my library through the Libby app. I bet that number will grow rapidly as word spreads.

I enjoyed it yesterday at my local indie theatre. I first thought Ruffalo was overplaying it a bit but when when you compare it to the source it’s pretty much impossible to overdo it

Mine used a Hotmail account and that just feels less special :(

1. A glamping style tent 2. A solar powered battery charger 3. An e-reader preloaded full of books. I think I could be good for a long while.
