That last 5e Paladin I played was under a new pantheon (post-post-apoc setting the GM had written up) and was a follower of a goddess of martyrdom and secret keeping.
VERY much the sort to lie to cops and put herself in harms way to help people trying to do the right thing.

Like yeah topping/GMing is fun, and it feels rewarding to be trusted with other people having a good time and them actually liking it.
