Guess for anyone not part of LGBT+ community maybe amazing. Not like I'm affected since I avoid religion like a plague. Religion is a cancer on the human mind. But I'd prefer less anti LGBT leaders of cancer in the world.

Anxiously waiting for his primary challenger to announce so I can donate. We need everyone of theSe do nothing Republican light Dems gone.

There still has not been a vote to remove Schumer as minority leader. So every Dem senator is failing us.

Gotta admit, this administration provides a ton more chances for sensationalist pieces. Why would they want a boring no drama admin doing normal things and maintaining stability? Think what that kind of news cycle would do to their online clicks.

Punching hippies and demeaning the base is like bread and butter for moderate Dems. Then they complain when the left doesn't come out in high numbers to vote. The Rs courted their base. And look who's in power.

And this is why the government is trying to find an out with the Garcia case, likely by agreeing to facilitate his return. They are afraid that discovery will uncover too much about their scam deal with El Salvador and lead to a host of new cases.

How long does it usually take for a judge to wade through something like this? Will we hear anything about after the review the sealed motion?

He already tweeted that Powell's refusal to lower rates will lead to recession. He is preloading his excuse and targeting scapegoats for when he inevitably crashes the economy.

I just did that this morning. Probably the same article.

Well the supreme Court has already ruled that police do not have a duty to protect or serve, so standing around watching laws broken and rights violated is okay I guess.

But is this another bait and switch where he votes no on the bill but votes to pass cloture so the bill passes anyway.

Mitch McConnell will deserve an entire chapter.

I keep waiting for them to throw out decorum and just start calling out the complete uselessness of Thomas and Alito. Why won't kagan declare that there is no constitutional basis for these rulings that they're making it up. And not in some dissent few read, but on every news show and paper.
comment in response to post
I don't want rhetoric. I want to stop seeing D votes on his nominees and R bills. That deserves criticism. But you can't criticize any Dems even as they assist in the complete deconstruction of our government. We should both call out the things Rs are doing and the feckless Dems assisting them.

I feel like SCOTUS knows Trump is going to violate their orders so they are going to great lengths to preposition excuses not to hold him accountable. They left numerous outs sprinkled through the text so when the issue comes back they avoid holding him accountable.

March down there with a team of lawyers prepared to file habeas petitions for every single inmate.
comment in response to post
You would think something this blatant would be considered clear evidence of contempt of SCOTUS ruling. Do they really think they can maintain any legitimacy if their rulings are ignored and mocked like this.

18 is the point when a child is no longer legally required to be dependent. That's the difference. Whether someone chooses to is again arbitrary. Bush 2 came in doing his daddy's bidding so we can't really stop kids who choose to be beholden to their parents whatever age.
comment in response to post
Raising presidential age just seems arbitrary. There isn't much difference between 35 and 40. But I also feel younger people have a higher stake in the future and should be handed more reins of power to choose their future when most current leaders will be dead. And I'm 44.
comment in response to post
For voting, my only concern in age limits is the misuse of minor votes to support a parent's agenda. Limiting voting to when someone becomes legally independent seems prudent for that aspect alone. For me concerns about officials being too old is justified by evidence, too young are arbitrary #s.
comment in response to post
So you discriminate against people you think are too young even if they are of age to vote. I see. You're an ageist. You don't think people can be too old for a job, but refuse to admit some younger than the age limit can perform as well due to prejudice. Got it.
comment in response to post
Yes even Betnie
comment in response to post
I guess the same should be said for too young to run. Why don't we get rid of those meaningless limitations? If you think someone is too young, don't vote for them. Get rid of all limitations. If you don't want a Canadian for president don't vote for them.
comment in response to post
Exactly. I understand when a Dem holding a usually red seat crosses the aisle sometimes. But when a Dem in a safe blue seat feels the need to support a bill or nominee that the base wants to resist, they should forfeit that seat's safety.

They prefer people motivated by their greed and comfort to do nothing.

Didn't the Supreme Court ruled that the government had to provide Due Process. So Gorka is staying that SCOTUS could be charged with aiding and abetting terrorists.

Such an amazing game. I played when they were originally released on Sega CD.

SCOTUS will probably overrule the precedent they set and claim the Dem admin doesn't have the authority.

I keep hoping a court decision comes down that infuriates him so much he has another rage tweet toilet fest and just keels over on the pot while accidentally tweeting a pic of his final pathetic moments for the world to meme and laugh at forever more.
comment in response to post
It's insane. Would any of these immigrants be granted anywhere near this much deference if they behaved like this in court. I do not understand why judges repeatedly reinforce the notion of two tiers of justice. Gov should be held to higher standards not less.
comment in response to post
If he does, I believe our next protest should be to March on Congress and demand he be voted out as minority leader.
comment in response to post
When is he up for reelection, and who is primarying this Republican Bro-douche? I want to know where to send my contributions to flushing this POS out of the Democrat party. Not like he's part of the party anyway just a turncoat infiltrator.
comment in response to post
That deception is currently being enacted by the people with Ds next to names voting consistently with Rs.

I don't know if it's a benefit. But there's lots of Hoosiers who can't get enough of angering liberals. They take pleasure from causing pain and suffering. And as deplorable as it is, they are loving it all no matter how much damage is done.

How long before deportation orders come down for everyone who signed this order, claiming they are sympathizing with terrorists or enemy combatants?

Roberts is trying to figure out how to thread the needle of keeping Trump happy without appearing to go full fascism supporter.
comment in response to post
Schumer will probably whip just enough votes to bypass the filibuster. He needs something to help him stay chummy with his Republican gym buddies.
comment in response to post
Do we still need to find unity and support all Dems with the four traitors who voted for this bill? Or are we finally allowed to call out these betrayals without being blamed for destroying the party?
comment in response to post
They also declared he put a hold on SOME of his tariffs yesterday, making it sound like there was some thought process to it. No. He put a hold on everyone but China. Across the board backtracking. The news seriously needs to learn how to news.
comment in response to post
I noticed there was an uptick in the market a few hours before he announced the pause on tariffs that sent everything climbing again. I wonder who knew to buy early.
comment in response to post
Shart of the deal. Cause every time he makes a new decision he craps himself a little more. Can someone please change him and put him to bed so the grownups can begin fixing things.
comment in response to post
They could stop voting for nominees and giving Democrat approval to the dismantling of agencies. That would be a start. Maybe not granting unanimous consent to bring votes to the floor. And how about not whipping enough Dem votes to help Rs bypass a filibuster. This shouldn't be too much to ask.
comment in response to post
Agreed. We still have Dems voting for nominees and adding their approval to the damage done to those agencies. I'm curious how many Dems will cross the aisle to give the guise of bipartisanship to the R budget that guts all of the programs Dems claim to protect.
comment in response to post
So how do we classify Dems who repeatedly vote for the enemy's nominees? If it looks like an R, and votes like an R... Wonder how many will give the guise of bipartisanship to the R budget. Can we treat them like enemies then, or do we still need to find unity with people selling us out?
comment in response to post
That's what drives me crazy. Judges have bent over backwards and made drastic delays in justice to assure he was afforded full due process. But the courts will turn their heads as hundreds, maybe even thousands, are granted barely a minimum chance at it. Then call it justice.
comment in response to post
Can we start with refusing unanimous consent for any Republican bill. If they want a vote make them waste their time on every nuance and procedure. Stop helping them fast track fascism.
