(i live in a town that doesnt have many jobs, theres a city and a large town to the north and south but they prefer to hire people closer to them, who don't need to rely on public transport. i have an ebike so have some extra range but cycling still takes at least 30 mins for either place)

honestly i'm not particularly physically disabled either. I have some energy limitations, but I can still work my 24 hour week with some extra as long as i get a rest day. It's just my AuDHD and physical distance from most jobs that puts me at a disadvantage trying to GET a job

and i only got the original 4am start role because i moved from night shifts at the same shop under a different manager. and only managed to get that role from having worked agency at this shop before. the uk job market truly is horrendous

the only reason i got the opportunity to change roles and start working afternoons/evenings instead of 4am starts is BECAUSE my boss couldnt hire anyone for that role, only train people from the other role he hires for

i am actually quite happy to work tuesdays because i get that BAG working an 8 hour shift but the issue is i already work wednesday thru sunday. so if my boss gives my 4 hour sunday shift to someone else, either alternating or completely, i would be very happy

wed: 12:00 to 20:00
thurs-sat 12:00 to 16:00
but ive worked tuesday 13:30 to 21:30 like, 5 weeks in a row, sometimes in exchange for thursday or friday.)
