Tanya Huff's Blood Trail has a family of werewolves in it who don't really do the alpha thing, though the werewolves do posture at the vampire character, in a predator-meeting-another-predator sort of way.

Back when the Alliance and Horde were teaming up with Vol'jin to take Garrosh down, both sides had to meet up with Vol'jin to get quests. On an Alliance character, the Horde camp was filthy and full of flies. You didn't see that on a Horde character. It was so interesting I actually got screenshots.

Oh I love Trash Goblin, it's a game I play when I'm feeling stressed out. So peaceful to chip away at the objects and fulfill customers' requests. Going to have to update and check it out!

Was there a movie/series made about Gormenghast? Otherwise, if anime is acceptable, Vampire Hunter D might fit, though that is sort of futuristic as well (robot horse.)
