Looked like he was running in mud.

You're nott alone. @keithlaw.bsky.social has gone on record for not appreciating the Boss.

Yeah, that's a bet I never would have made.

I still don't think it's any way to run a railroad. My heart will not be able to take seeing guys like Ryan Brasier or Jack Flaherty or Ben Casparius starting playoff games again.

I attended Loyola HS in 1970-71. Always sad when there is a connection, no matter how tenuous.

Because he could get to those balls, he played more shallow than any other CFs. That allowed him to catch more singels.

People from ither countries ought to rethink their choices now. Trump will probably melt it down one day.

As a life-long Dodgers fan I will take them running over the NL West. They'll be fine. Still a 100 win team.

Us Lakers fans are delighted. Their stupidity is our gain. Similar to the Mookie trade.

Duh! I sure did.

As a card-carrying Duke hatern it was glorious and stunning. I couldn't believe that Kupp missed that final shot.

I rode the Metro in St. Louis (including some bus rides) for 6 years while wirking on my Ph.D. It was great.

At least he didn't use the lame, it was a tainted supplement argument.

You made those names up.

A New York-centric song if there ever was one.

Heathens. The Boss is the boss.

This team has infinitely better pitching than that Reds team.

None. The amazing thing about rock music is its endurance.

"Checked in" is my favorite we didn't really try, but we want it to look like we did.

I thought the same thing at first.

I'll grant that it's not particularly accurate. It does smooth out his jowls though.

This was always one of the risks. I'm curious but have never done it.

I had them winning the whole thing. I'm cooked.

The best thing that happened to his reputation was getting into the fight with Jonathan Papplebon, whom everyone hates.

He's 35 eith a career WAR of 44.4. 493 HRs didn't help Fred McGruff with the writers.

I think @keithlaw.bsky.social is with you on this one.

As an ordained minister, I hate this so much.

I don't get it.

I don't understand the attraction. Does he bring in that many viewers?

I went to grad school in the early 2000s and had to write a bunch of papers (and a dissertation). That cured me.

Just making a joke.

What a great book. Read it in high school.

I wanted to be Willie Davis. The Three Dog was my favorite player in the 1960s

My first baseball memory was my parents coming home from game 4 of the 1963 WS where Sandy Koufax beat the Yankees 2-1 ti complete the sweep. They got me a little L.A. Dodgers World Champions t-shirt. I was 6 and a Dodgers fan for life.

It's a great series.

Looking at that list, I just don't see four of them getting to the playoffs, but probably two.

One of the worst/best movies ever. Part sci-fi, part social commentary, part slapstick (the motorcycle scene). It just didn't know what it wanted to be. Which head will prevail?

I got my PhD at 53 but I disagree with this. The reason for Under 40 lists is to see who are up and coming in a particular field. I am now 68 and doing good work, but I'm not going to be setting the world on fire in the future.

A great, great-grandfather had a tobacco processing plant in Paris, TN. He bragged about how good he treated his slaves. When they were freed they showed their gratitude by burning the place down on their way out. No one likes being enslaved. Period.

I read every book in the series. I was hoping for one more to see where your imagination would end up.
