The DA laughed, but I was trying to send a signal to the defense that they weren't going to have a sympathetic jury if there was credible evidence that the defendant had used a machine gun.
I'm not saying that was a deciding factor, but he pleaded guilty to all counts the next morning.

Lost my corn early on to resident raccoons. I think I won’t try that again.
And my seed potatoes I thought were a failure, sprouted in my compost so I dug them out and we might have potatoes after all!

They said she was sitting up and speaking with paramedics so assuming she was well enough to do so.
I guess we’ll eventually hear more about the story but for now, her safety is enough for me.
