A massive blow to democracy Indonesia. A willful slide back towards the New Order’s evil.

But, at the end of the day, is Carney just a neoliberal who wants pipelines, tramples indigenous sovereignty, and thinks that global GDP can rise indefinitely?

His strength vs Trudeau was novelty. The more Canadians see of PP the more he’ll fall in the polls.

India’s children suffer from rampant malnourishment, poor access to education/sanitation/electricity/health care/etc. and yet articles like this preach about warships and “national security.” Be better, Diolomat

Yes : Bloor bike lanes a complete disaster. And Danforth, Harbord, etc. etc. And the some of the tractors actually make it worse. We need “How’s My Plowing?” signs on the back of every tractor, so we can report these bad drivers.

Are y’all pressuring the city about plowing the bike lanes? They’re soooooo bad on Danforth and Bloor. And some of the “plowing” just makes it worse

Required reading (you won’t regret!):
Ferguson, James. 2015. “Give a Man a Fish: From Patriarchal Productionism to the Revalorization of Distribution.” In Give a Man a Fish. United States: Duke University Press., pp. 35-62. [Just ask, and I’ll send the pdf]

Bloor bike lanes were an absolute joke, especially on the evening commute. Rode the street most of the way home. Shamefully bad effort by the City

Why is the evil snake in an indigenous or shamanistic costume? Seems like an evil snake should be wearing corporate garb

As NotJustBikes points out: we have absurdly large (and costly) emergency vehicles in North America. Compare to France, Japan, etc. Smaller emergency vehicles can better serve us, cut costs, and make use of bike lanes.

Shame on the PPP. They couldn’t put country before party, democracy before short term gain.

Soooo easy for bikes to hop aside for an emergency vehicle. Can’t say the same for a car.

We may have to do this more and more to make our point. Get rid of bike lanes at your peril, Doug Ford

As an emigrant to Canada I miss Fahrenheit for the weather: feels more precise and tangible (72 vs 73 degrees) than Celsius, with its chunkiness (21 vs 22 degrees)

“People” is a very subjective category! Can we include the World Bank, Exxon, and Raytheon in “people”?

Toronto (bossed by suburban and rural voters): in terms of transit, economy, demographics, and climate: let’s pretend it’s the 1980s!
Vancouver: how can we learn from other cities to humanely adapt to 21st century geographic contexts?
