back cover text since it's hard to read: "In a world quick to judge, this tale urges us to find beauty in the unexpected. Watch as Maya learns about her family's unconventional Cybertruck, discovering it's not just a vehicle, but a symbol of creativity, resilience, and endless possibilities"

I would have loved to see more sides to the main character, Elvira. We only learned her motivation as things *happened to her* throughout the film, but I was somewhat forgiving since it's a fairy tale

I think the log scene is the best for sure. I'm still terrified of trucks hauling anything remotely resembling logs

I think some wanted it to be a copy of the original, so they were disappointed when it wasn't as bondage-coded. I'm glad it tried something different, while staying true to the original. I know a lot hated the main character, but she's way more interesting than a majority of final girls IMO

Gotta love her!

Jamie Clayton is such an amazing Hell Priest and the Cenobite designs, although very different from the S&M leather-clad designs of the original, are both beautiful and grotesque

Hellraiser (2022) deserves so much more love than it gets. It's an amazing spiritual successor to Clive Barker's original Hellraiser, even down to subverting expectations of the Final Girl

It also takes me about 5 days to listen to a voice message, but it only takes me 2 seconds to read a text message

I’ve been tempting to watch this because I love Oliver Reed and it just hit Shudder

I don't miss the half-assed thought leadership on LinkedIn. I quit it forever ago when I changed careers, but I begrudgingly used it for years

They are pretty cute. I’ll give you that. I also loved the horror in that creepy kid’s house, but I was that kid that loved horror

But also, don't consult Jon Voight if you don't know how movies are made. His filmography is bleak these days
