It doesn't help that tech-bro culture benefits from a society that doesn't understand the inner workings of things, which means their increasing control over how society communicates and what they communicate about is less likely to be challenged.

Finally, someone in the thread said it. Y’all are sleeping on Andy. If he wasn’t term limited as governor I’d say put a lid on it so we can keep him to ourselves, but he’s out in 2027 which gives him plenty of time to mount a 2028 presidential campaign

For comparison, not even Outlook or Proton weigh in as heavy as the Gmail app, and Outlook even has calendar functionality.

Once it’s installed, the app is a little smaller, which tells me there isn’t a whole lot of stuff in the download that’s differentiated between devices, for instance.

I’ll preface this by saying I always use alt text and I like your approach way better, but I am turned off by the punitive front-of-classroom energy a lot of others have when telling people to use it. Too many take simple ignorance as intentional and treat it as such.
