At least they didn’t choose some intentionally warped all graphics on low, dlss ultra performance, screenshot taken while mid sentence pic of the Star Wars woman for once.

Man localthunk just can’t stop winning. These are no longer indie crossovers (even tho those were also some of the best games out there). Congrats to him on all his success.

Haha yeah this is the problem I always get intimidated by the insane number of products out there. But you’re right I shouldn’t let that stop me and should just start simple. Is it best to moisturize like after a shower? Or when you wake up?

Man what’s your skincare routine?! I feel like I gotta start taking care of my skin before it’s too late haha

The obsession with player count screenshots is getting super old. It’s perpetuated by games journalists and CCs looking for easy engagement bait. It’s not a metric relevant to a games quality. And it’s often used to prop up bad faith arguments (both for and against a game)

No thank YOU. I hadn’t realized how long it had been since I’d taken in a bit of good news.

Disappointed by DD2 if I’m honest. Just didn’t grab me in the same way. Missed building up the hamlet and found the method for unlocking heroes and their abilities very tedious. Also odd how they’re releasing heroes months after release that were already in DD1.

Yeah wartales is great as a second screen game. Turn based tactical battles like xcom so you can look away for extended periods, etc. and no real story to speak of to pay attention to. But still very fun for leveling up your band of mercs and lots of expansions out.
DD is amazing. Was a bit

Darkest dungeon and wartales come to mind. I’m sure I could suggest a hundred more if I was at my computer

Nintendo 64. So many awesome memories with blast corps, extreme G and Rush. And Mario 64 of course. So many banger games on that console.

I used to love the Calvin and Hobbs, far side and foxtrot anthology books when I was younger.

This type of thinking has infected every hobby I love and it sucks

I told my friend as soon as I saw the trailer that grifters were about to expose en masse that they never played TW3.

I never said it looked bad. The opposite actually. But yes I think the gameplay wasn’t great, especially the melee combat and stealth. I didn’t find mashing square and occasionally dodging all that engaging. The shooting mechanics were serviceable but not amazing imo.

you’re talking about genres and they are talking about aesthetic. They’re saying 80s retro future is played out, not narrative linear action games or whatever. Personally idc long as the game is good but Idk if I have faith in ND to make a game that’s PLAYS well in addition to looking amazing.

Seems like it. Articles I’ve seen said it’s session based and randomized loot and enemies, bosses etc

Night rein made me fall outta my chair I did not in my wildest dreams think we’d get a co op, roguelike Elden ring standalone game. And I am beyond excited. So many amazing announcements tonight. I LOVE THIS HOBBY!

It has to have a compelling gameplay loop with engaging progression mechanics. It has to be relatively easy to pick up but with mechanical depth to keep you wanting to improve. And there has to be decent matchmaking so you’re not getting rolled while trying to learn. Latest game to grab me is hunt.
