Plausible Deniability: I didn't kick that nazi. His face simply slipped and fell onto my raised foot.

You might not have, but low-information voters absolutely did. In large numbers.

I'm convinced the antivax movement comes from a generation that never experienced disease.
My grandfather survived polio. He's a far-right man who believes every crazy conspiracy theory, except for that one.
The pendulum will swing back. It's just sad people will die re-discovering the obvious.

You should never apologize for making a manger scene actually interesting for once.

The Internet was an amazing thing that connects people with one another, shows what's going on in the world, and gives unparalleled access to information.
What it has turned into is a cesspool of hate and echo chambers which should honestly be classified as a crime.

Maybe you don't, but you clearly know enough about it to know there's two different kinds of astrology!

Don't let big meteorology tell you how to live your life.

Because they don't see the same news as you.
Don't get me wrong, a few of them are fully aware and like it.
But your average right winger watches news all day that makes the same claims against Dems.
The media is the real enemy.

Your politicians go to prison? Wow, weird. Over here we believe that having power puts you above the law.

To be perfectly clear, I'm not arguing capitalism is a good system. It's horrible. It exploits people. But I think it's one we're unfortunately stuck with. Leftist thought since the Industrial revolution has constantly predicted the end of capitalism. Somehow, it's still here.

Alternative systems redistribute power. This makes them less efficient, because any decision requires more consensus. It also makes them less efficient, because one can accomplish more with more resources, which creates a cycle.

We don't disagree that much. It is hard to fit a nuanced take into 300 characters.
The main point I got is that capitalism concentrates wealth in the hands of a few. The fewer there are in charge, the more easily they can make effective decisions.

See, most Trump voters aren't actually evil. They just don't see the same news. The Democratic party needs a fundamental rework that includes giving uninformed voters an off ramp.

By overestimating their competency, we also produce messaging that is inaccessible for many working class folks. The majority of messaging that uneducated people can understand properly comes from right-wing talking heads. We need to make progressive thought accessible.

A meaningful analysis! What many leftist thinkers fail to realize is that capitalism is such a powerful tool for creating advancements that it simply out-competes any alternatives. It's a beast we are stuck with, unfortunately. All one can realistically do is curb it's worst tendencies.

Someday they will learn. When your only tactic is stoking the flames of fear and outrage, getting angrier will just result in more people throwing wet blankets on you.

Yep. The power of personality. We need our own Joe tbh. Someone entertaining, open-minded, and leftist without being too overly political.

I'm pretty sure Threads does this too, because when you click a link, you're no longer using their app. Social media companies apparently going above and beyond to quantitatively determine exactly how much brainrot humans can tolerate.

But Musk also needs Trump! They must have astronomical amounts of dirt on one another. Truly, a match made in heaven. At least it will provide some entertainment!

He did drain the swamp. Into the White House to be fair, but he never said what swamp he would drain where.
