As an instructor in a preservice teacher program, we used And Tango Makes Three with many other children’s books to let students explore what texts could be included in a classroom library. I am furious with the blatant hate directed at inclusion. They are rolling toward internment.

Just another day of the racist-in-chief being racist.

As a lifelong RedSox fan, I’m okay w the trade. Too much drama around Devers unwilling to move positions. On another note, I caught a foul ball at the RedSox/Yankees the other night.

I think if you investigated, you will find K-12 US public schools do teach media literacy. In some states/districts it is mandated. And yes, Finland wins at education. It is easier when your country is basically ethnically, linguistically and religiously homogenous. Oh, and all kids get free lunch!

What a great day in Boston! #Pride #NoKings and the #Redsox beat the Yankees! Oh yes-and I caught a foul ball! Alt text-Image shows a baseball caught during Redsox-Yankees game.

It means Trump has no idea of the policies Stephen Miller put in place.

This is a perfect example for a critical literacy lesson in school. Analyzing semantics and the meanings behind language choice is crucial for students to become active participants in our fragile democracy. #criticalliteracy #medialiteracy

The lack of reading the room is really hurting everyone’s patience.

It will take decades of ed research to pick apart all the factors that affected pandemic learning loss. School closures did not happen in a vacuum. Just because the anti-vax, anti-mask, anti-science group scream loudly doesn’t mean they hold valid and reliable data.

He is a consistent subject in elementary “famous inventors” research projects. His antisemitism is ignored.

It will take us decades to try and undo the hate that has spewed from this administration. No honor, no dignity, no class, no kindness, no intellect, no allegiance to country and democracy. Just filth.

I was an elementary teacher in that West Hartford CT school system. My school, the admin, the teachers and the students were driven to be welcoming, inclusive, and curious. Our school was an IB where the curriculum was focused on critical thinking within a global perspective. ❤️❤️❤️

Okay true. I don’t think the Dems have an age or an illness issue. They are allergic to progressives. They’d vote for anything breathing before giving AOC leadership.

Please put “Secretary of Education” in quotes. It helps put her priorities in context.

Frankly, there is a desire that kids w disabilities disappear. Their needs are time-consuming and costly. They do not have any immediate ROI to the schools or the government. We are a soulless transactional society which determines worth and benefits based on “what can they do for me.”

I find the most unnerving part of the article was that Patel has a girlfriend. I mean, out of all the men and women in the world this woman thought he was a keeper. How? Why??? FFS

I’ve been calling this the future of the “cans and the cannots.” Those whom have been taught carefully to navigate, negotiate and produce using the internet, and those whom have only been made to consume it through repetitive tasks, passive practice, and games.

Haven’t shopped there since inauguration. Wait until they feel the effect of a sales slump at Christmas.
