Finally, a race. Everyone's favorite part of the PS3 game.

Something unique about fighting games is how you have to be prepared for all sorts of gamepad configurations. That's why the confirmation is holding *any* button, because I want to try to avoid situations where navigating menus is a challenge if you haven't already bound your preferred inputs.

i made the mistake of not setting up my bsky on my phone before i went lol
i dont have the recording on-hand but a few of the Craze team was there trying HF2, including @fullmoonmilk.bsky.social and @ayasme.bsky.social, and we loved it!

This, 100%. I personally don't mind that SFV had some goofball stuff, that's what makes me want to play a fighting game. SF6 feels like a prime example of how rigidity might make your game 'feel fairer,' but it also restricts the flavor that makes it fun on a casual level.

i think this is it. Drive Rush feels very one-dimensional, there's not a lot of wiggle room for experimenting. Thus, it isn't an engaging system to play with. There's a flowchart every character follows.
Pop cancels just tell you "you can cancel anything" and you can go wild with the possibilities.

i dunno if its just me but i do get this vibe of "characters are less unique to make up for how powerful the game's systems are"
im resigned to never seeing my SF loves ever again but what theyve added instead is a lot of different flavors of "this character can Drive Rush" and it doesnt grab me

i will say that i think the Drive system makes the game a hell of a lot of fun to watch people play at higher skill levels. however i dont personally feel like it excites me at my own level.
but I also dont... have any real gripes with it? it just doesnt hit a sweet spot for me, i guess.

there's... there's no way that's true. i honest-to-god find it hard to believe that people would have any emotional response to that other than maybe finding it funny

maybe thats what i get for maining a character as odd as Abigail? but then again i was huge into Laura too, and i thought FANG was really really fun, but no one in SF6 fills those voids for me.
its the first time i was hype for SF ever since i realized how much i like them and it just fell flat

im genuinely torn between 'i cant find a character i like playing' or 'maybe i just dont like the drive system'
i couldnt *stop* finding people in SF5 i wanted to main, and even though i dig the hell outta everything Dee Jay offers, i just cant get that fire for SF6

a pic of my merch pile! if you can guess who my favorite character is, you'll receive one (1) condescending pat on the head

Do note: This character is going to be a GameMaker exclusive when that version is ready, as well as a special appearance at this upcoming Combo Breaker!
