Labour are obsessed with fiscal responsibility. They forget that the previous right wing government effectively nationalised the economy for 18 months without a rebellion. There is room to do the right thing.

Jim Carrey made a career out of films in which his character lacks the ability in some way.

The strikes were exactly the same as those in Top Gun Maverick, but with B2s rather than F18s, even down to the use of Tomahawks. When did Trump watch that film?

Let’s also assume that the rest of the series played out as it did. The sequence for England then looks like this: Draw, loss, win, draw, win. England regain the Ashes. Bazball has been mighty effective against the West Indies etc, but it had yet to win a series vs. India/Australia /end

Nat on, and you accumulate runs and use up time. In this case, an extra 90 min and perhaps 60-80 runs given Bazball. Do that, and the best outcome the Aussies could achieve is a draw. Let’s assume that happens. /3

Declarations are only done to ensure you can bowl the opposition out twice in the course of the match and win the game. Declaring an hour before stumps on day one will always be a painfully stupid thing to do /2

I think we can all agree that nothing bad ever happened when the US got involved in Iranian affairs. Eagle Claw was a great success, Iran Contra was great diplomacy etc.

Same +1. Feeling a nice draw through the house is a cheap early win, but a win all the same.
