Wouldn't it be better if everyone posted that they were doing that? "I am Spartacus" style?

It's like when you stop taking antibiotics the minute you start to feel a little better instead of finishing the bottle

I can't see how anyone can seriously discuss the failings civil war and not think that the actual problem wasn't that the Union didn't execute every single Confederate officer and office holder.

Neo-Gotham is about to explode!

Same. I probably would have a bit of trouble putting some of Inland Empire into words, tho. (Other than just saying "a woman in trouble")

That Exuma is so great. Don't sleep on the second one tho. I think I might like that one even more

Yeah, Kindle was the Comixology killer and it was so effective that it set back all of digital comics a decade or more

Did modernism and post modernism add: "ape is sad" and "ape's sense of what is reality fractures"

If you're pushing another explanation, I'd have to assume you're as disingenuous as all the folks who played along back in the day

Nobody who wasn't a complete idiot believed them. A lot of people pretended to believe them because it was convenient for them to do so politically.

Any analysis other than "they were obviously lying and anyone who wasn't a moron knew that" is in bad faith. Every 18 year old stoner knew what was up at the time. The idea that any elected official didn't is ludicrous

It was lies, not bad Intel and nobody who wasn't a complete idiot believed them or respected any of them to begin with. I'm old enough to remember.

It doesn't even make sense. The most dangerous regime has had the bomb since 1945

Wow

Wouldn't insisting on that book cover be a form of prison?

Every human working at those companies is definitely, at the very least, making some moral compromises, but that doesn't make them all evil. The folks at the top, however, are pretty hard to defend.

All of our elections are already subject to so much gerrymandering, voter suppression, unlimited campaign spending, and the lack of any sort of actual opposition party that I can't imagine they'd need to go though all that technical stuff to win.

Do you prefer New York? They've got the ways and means

Houston produced Jandek, Red Krayola, and Charalambides. Austin's musical "weirdos" are all completely conventional by comparison

He's advertising his adult website "xxxmen". He was in San Francisco during the dotcom boom and saw an in.

If by that he means, "if Marxists don't get their way, fascists run wild," he would be correct.

Obama was unquestionably the best president of my lifetime, but that still puts him in the bottom tier of humanity

I love how mad the morons in the quote tweets are about this objectively correct take

You don't think the guy who they called, "the Deporter-in -chief," had anything to do with getting us here?

It's a song about Trump!

Deadpool is cool in the way a 30 year old shouting a random 5 year old meme is. He's a great character, but him being a loser is completely baked into who he is.

This is the most insane comic opinion I've ever seen.

I think it only works for shutting the car down if you can somehow piss into the front seat. They will definitely charge you for it, but I'm sure it would be worth it

I think it's pretty reasonable to say that 95% of elected officals in the Democratic party need to go just as much as the Republicans do.

As somebody who thinks that Easy Rider is one of the worst movies I've ever seen I would actually love to see this cuz it sounds way cooler than the original

Also, this is definitely the most I've ever enjoyed a D'Spayre story. Amazing work on that front!

I loved your story. Thanks for bringing Sera back. I hope they let you write a series about her and Angela

Hell yeah. I was worried they discontinued that promotion

I thought Austin seemed completely beyond saving when I was last there in 2007 I can't even imagine what it's like now.

Honestly, I think how cool a city is entirely dependent on how affordable and accessible it is to working-class artists. My city, for example, was way cooler when rent was like 1/4 of what it is now and most people had never even heard of Columbus and would never dream of moving here.

As long as there's absolutely no Tom King influence whatsoever (and probably no Azzarello either, for good measure), im cautiously optimistic

That Fahey comp was my intro to him. Scored it from a Best Buy when I was in high school in the late 90s, of all places.

We need the stigma, but also the fear. Gentrification has led to a lot of folks who should be living in the suburbs clogging up my city and making it too expensive and I think it's the same everywhere
comment in response to post
So weird how armies historically make the weird move of just stopping outside the city for for months or even years instead of just going on in. Morons
