They were improving, 23-29 when he was lost for the season, more than they won the entire 23-24 season. There's only one Wemby, not 5, and the Spurs are still rebuilding around Wemby and Castle.
SGA's Thunder won 22 games in 2020-21, 24 in 21-22, and 40 in 22-23. Rebuilds take time.
