Thank you ! This is my second chair, but I haven't felt the need for cushions yet. The carved seat isn't too deep, so you're able to adjust your position which is key to long term sitting comfort. BUT, I also do leather work, so I have given some thought to stitching up a nice leather pad.

25 years of daily abuse, I think each of the chairs has at least one broke spindle. She sent a couple back years ago and it cost more to repair than the original purchase price. They were only 200 in 2000 🤯🤯 That's 375 in todays money but they're 820 dollars today 🙄🙄🙄

Thank you! I'm using the lasers to find the resultant angles and sight lines on these cherry windsor from stickley so I can make approximate replacements for my mom's dinning room set.

Thanks, it's straight outta the pattern for the 6 stick chair from lost art press .... mistakes were made and it became a 4 stick 🤣🤣

I've also used their original and Danish oils and enjoy both as well. But have been using the varnish oil for projects I think will take more abuse. If nontoxic zero VOC finishes are important to you, this is my recommendation

This is the third project I've used it on, my first chair, and a burnt ash table I made last year. The chair has been holding up to daily use for almost 6 months so far. I've read some people have trouble with it, but I think they glob on too much and don't buff it enough.

Oh can we see more of this !!! I dig the blend of ladder back and sticks!

Thank you! Creative problem solving for the win. 4 sticks straight up wasn't doing it for me ! Fingers crossed it survives long term it's a decent amount of tension to pull them into place
