AAAAAAAAAAAAHHH

STUNNING video of Mount Kilauea shooting lava upwards of 1,000 ft into the air during a recent eruption. 🌋 📹: @USGS

Every day thousands of old CD racks are sent to the dump, where they are mercilessly mocked by bitter old cassette racks.

So he raised the tariffs, paused that raise, paused that pause, then paused that pause of the pause. And no-one knows if it'll be paused again (and if such a pause will be unpaused) or what happens when (or if) the pause whose pause was paused concludes.

How was writing invented? A thread 🧵

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I wonder if Jake Tapper will report on this.

CBP a little afraid of 1A.

Kilauea is spectacular right now, with fountains reaching maximum heights of up to 300 m! www.youtube.com/live/fiyttmA...

This video is stunning. gizmodo.com/shocking-vid...

Paul Skenes vs. Juan Soto 👀

So let me get this straight: masks are bad and un-American if worn to fight a pandemic, but good if worn by people claiming to be government agents when they kidnap people off the street

I just really need everybody to understand that everything that’s happening in and to the global economy now (and all the businesses and people in it) is the entirely predictable result of the intentional decisions of one guy who doesn’t understand how the global economy works.

"I did this!"

"It's not a fight over whether Democrats become more moderate or more progressive. Voters want Democrats to be more aggressive. They want to see Democrats standing up to Donald Trump, pushing back, fighting. It's not really related to policy, it's about posture and attitude."

Once again, the tech press is applying a clear eye and plain language to the administration that the establishment political press refuses to.

I wrote about President Trump calling Rep. Jasmine Crockett "definitely a low-IQ person" on Meet the Press Sunday, and how it mirrors insults he's directed at other Black women. www.huffpost.com/entry/trump-...

If Trump is serious about tariffs on movies, it's a very dangerous escalation. Tariffs have not traditionally been applied to services, and the United States is a massive net exporter of services. We would be extremely vulnerable to any service-based retaliation.

New from 404 Media: the Signal clone the Trump administration uses was just hacked. TeleMessage makes a modified version of Signal that archives messages for government agencies, Waltz used it. A hacker got some users' messages, group chats. Hugely significant breach www.404media.co/the-signal-c...

A Facebook post unearthed a legend: the lost MingKwai typewriter, designed by Lin Yutang in 1947, resurfaced in a NY basement. Hailed as a marvel yet dismissed as a failure, its rediscovery revives debates over innovation, identity, and what it means to be Chinese, writes @yangyangcheng.bsky.social.

Notice the difference, Catholics?

Private-equity firm Apollo has quickly become one of the most bearish voices on the Street. Yesterday, CEO Marc Rowan said the firm is focusing on cash and low-risk assets. Today, the firm’s chief economist writes: “Stagflation coming.” $APO

NEW: Democrats and progressives ought to not bicker over tactics and rhetoric and adopt an expansive strategy for countering Trump that can be summed up like this: Everything, everywhere, all at once. I explain in the latest issue of my OUR LAND newsletter. link.motherjones.com/public/39697...
