It is astounding how easily journalists for technology, something I’d think you’d know about, keeping falling for bullshit ponzi schemes

I remember seeing a demonstration of genAI 3D art and it was like ten trillion vertices in such a messy arrangement that made Banban 3D models look clean and optimized

Could you report to us possibly what the boots of genocidal fascists taste like? You seem to be the leading expert.

Well of course. If they got off the app they’d be un-hinged

It's a very important distinction. In order to lie you need to know the truth. LLM's just plain and simple don't know anything because there's zero cognitive components. They'll spew out incorrect information, but it's purely just happenstance from a chaotic and uncontrollable program.

I mean, in the case of the states and conservative stances, it would be. But the solution isn't "pay less taxes" because the game plan is advertise that as an excuse to axe the services so the money has nowhere else to go-- it's about actual government accountability.

It's propaganda written by the rich people that do not want to use their wealth in a responsible manner that benefits communities, they just want to pad their pockets.

The bullshit part is that, if you're comparing income tax, a concept that means taxing is PROPORTIONAL to income, from a country that does more consistently tax its rich to one that doesn't, you're going to get that 70% number and pretend it applies to everyone.

"I would be in a much better financial position if I just didn't have to pay so many taxes" said people who don't understand that it's their pay and benefits that are what give them financial freedom

They’re not even particularly great! Like, I grew up on them too but when I read more different and better things I grew out of them when I realized how vapid and empty the whole series is on so many levels.

"Maybe it's my competitive edge" maybe it's your fragile and insecure cowardice that refuses to allow you to explore anything this wonderful and various world has to offer you outside of your own pathetic and insular circle, Alex.

Deskbot 002, Scrap Recycler, Hydrant, Infinitrack Harvester, just off the top of my head. I struggle to think of many themes that use machines that wouldn’t be frothing at the mouth for exactly this.

Can you imagine an E-Tele for machine monsters? I can think of several themes that are blasted forward out of a cannon with something like this.

The moment you said “Forbes” in the context of Bungie development, I knew exactly who you’re talking about and deflated on the spot. For I had forgotten of this man’s existence, blissfully.

Guerrilla for sure the tech actually managed to shine, and even though it was more of a for-fun aspect to the game with some minigames to do with it, it was still a very satisfying part.

In Red Faction 1, it’s really under-utilized as a mechanic. You encounter some paths where the only way forward is digging through a wall, but I can’t recall any uses beyond that and some hidden areas.

What I think Bungie is so good for in their art direction is that, there’s such a beautiful balance of detail and simplicity in the designs. Most big-budget modern Sci-Fi FPS games just make greeble cities for their guns and you can barely tell what’s going on at all.

The west told itself a lie that poverty was a consequence of personal failing and this has been used to dehumanize the impoverished more and more as time has gone on.
