I was 10, but it goes back before even that. I remember a lot of that stuff from the Romper Room LP I'd play almost daily when I was 4-5. I once accepted being punished for stealing to avoid admitting I accepted a quarter to buy candy from a stranger, cos that seemed like a worse crime.

It's kind of insulting they made them march in parade.

I still go back to twitter occasionally, but to me it seems like a bunch of shit throwing monkeys. There's rarely reasons given just verbal abuse and mockery... and not just from one side.

But it's orderly murder.

The short answer is because the media lets them.

Like every kid's movie has boomer jokes about phone addiction? It does get old.

As a 70's kid, yeah, that at least feels right. I also wonder if kids respect adults less because it's more obvious how adults don't really deserve the kind of deference that used to be taken for granted.

Funny how protests are held to a standard of "every participant, and even incidental figures, must behave perfectly or cops get to go hog wild with violence" while cops are... allowed to go hog wild with violence for any or no reason. Funny that.

Mostly just here to stay informed, without having to see a few hundred shit throwing monkeys attacking any vaguely progressive tweet.

Might be because we all knew they would be back in 4 years, well, except the people gloating, but the rest of us knew.

Would be so much less disturbing if they just made it a cartoon character.

Any Democrat whose idea for resistance is “here are the people we need to throw away to win” needs to be the one thrown away; it should make them unelectable; it should make them unwelcome at parties.

I mean, that is exists.

What I don't get, looking back, is why it took people so long to see it.

I mean, I kinda get it, because I'm autistic and lose perspective easily. But that's definitely a thought I keep to myself when I have it.

People who believe magic is real are going to believe anything.

I'd say going in armed like that, they're hoping for an excuse to use start shooting.

And for a lot of people with type 2, it won't go into remission, and I'm kind of sick of people acting like it usually does. I can't control mine without insulin, and I've lost over 50 pounds since I was diagnosed.

It has always kind of amused me that "manly men" only seem to care what other men think of them.

And the ableism...

You’re not bullied off the platform. People just don’t defer to you. They challenge the theories that you push and policies you uplift that have done them harm. That’s not bullying. That’s you having to use your brain and defend your shit.

It's like old times.

Both are 100% accurate and definitely not a massive oversimplification. No notes.

I suppose I hadn't thought of it that way.
