i genuinely can't put it into words how oddly emotional i got sitting in the theater watching the new final destination and seeing the whole fucking amazing opening segment unfold. it's like seeing a loved one return in style after not seeing them for many years. needless to say, incredible movie.

i don't really have anything to say on mickey 17 that hasn't already been said by everyone many times over, but it's a shame that it's just a bit of a watered down greatest hits compilation for previous bong joon-ho movies. robert pattinson and naomi ackie are the big saving graces of the movie.
