I agree with Esther Rantzen - MPs opposing the assisted dying bill likely have undeclared religion based objections. MPs complaining are showing their true paternalistic side - telling the terminally ill patient to shut up while they decide what’s best for them. Disgraceful.

Tories in Commons bleating about improving palliative care before permitting assisted dying. What did the Tories do over 14 years to improve palliative care? Nothing absolutely nothing - in fact they made it worse through funding cuts and handing care to US based equity funds. Tories are shameless.

Disgraceful on Today prog on assisted dying opposition worrying about hypotheticals - no mention of people dying in agony with Stage 4 cancers and other incurable terminal illnesses. Everyone can die in pain and anguish as long as someone that has gone off their insulin is saved. Monstrous.

The backlash to this insane era may very well help enable the election of AOC as POTUS, which would be a very good outcome. AOC is in no way "radical"; she simply embodies sanity and compassion. I just hope I live to see the return to sanity and compassion.
