I agree with Esther Rantzen - MPs opposing the assisted dying bill likely have undeclared religion based objections. MPs complaining are showing their true paternalistic side - telling the terminally ill patient to shut up while they decide what’s best for them. Disgraceful.

Tories in Commons bleating about improving palliative care before permitting assisted dying. What did the Tories do over 14 years to improve palliative care? Nothing absolutely nothing - in fact they made it worse through funding cuts and handing care to US based equity funds. Tories are shameless.

Duckworth: "He's accepting a bribe, which is unconstitutional and illegal. And he's gonna accept an aircraft that then is gonna cost taxpayers another billion dollars at a time when he wants to cut funding for Medicaid. It's simple unacceptable."

RFK seems to have lied to Congress a lot

Disgraceful on Today prog on assisted dying opposition worrying about hypotheticals - no mention of people dying in agony with Stage 4 cancers and other incurable terminal illnesses. Everyone can die in pain and anguish as long as someone that has gone off their insulin is saved. Monstrous.

Kemi Badenoch telling bald-faced lies at PMQs - Beales Dept stores went into receivership in Jan 2020. How is that Starmer’s fault? Kemi is now going full Boris bullshit artist.

The backlash to this insane era may very well help enable the election of AOC as POTUS, which would be a very good outcome. AOC is in no way "radical"; she simply embodies sanity and compassion. I just hope I live to see the return to sanity and compassion.

Deaths from heart disease down 75%, that’s NIH. Deaths from stroke down 75%, that’s NIH. HIV/AIDS no longer a death sentence, that’s NIH. 99% of FDA approved drugs in the last decade, that’s NIH. Please show this video to anyone who doesn’t understand why the NIH is so important.

Our relationship with the EU has to be about far more than trade. It also has to be about culture, education, science, agriculture, climate change, biodiversity, travel, security, relationships, families, dreams. Why should a parcel or a packet of peas have more freedom of movement than a person? 🇬🇧🇪🇺

@bbcnews-world-rss.bsky.social patronising BBC article about the US-Ukraine deal saying how after 3 years of war Ukraine was struggling to repel Russia. Russia fully expected to roll into Kyiv within a week, kill Zelensky and install a puppet leader. They have fought back for 3 years - heroes.

Thanks to the Labour Government, around 1.2m households, 700k with children, will be £420 better off each year on average due to Universal Credit changes coming into force today. The changes help those struggling with debt, with the new Fair Repayment Rate reducing debt deductions from 25% to 15%.

Yes we all know Liverpool won the Premier League but more importantly on Sunday, Gussage Acadeicals clinched The UEFA Village Agricultural Champions League with a late winner against Real Pantyhose FC of Spain. Such joy! Mind you the game has changed so much since I played it. ⚽️

BBC politics live - Sarah Vine lying as usual saying vat on private schools means more pressure on state schools - completely at odds with the facts. There was little change in enrolments between state and private sector schools. Wake up BBC stop being Tory affirming schills
