“Then we’re fucked. No point worrying about that door. What do we do with the other one?” That’s the whole answer.

If you get maced expect to be out of commission for 20 minutes or so. It can be absolutely debilitating especially the hard stuff the feds use. Sudecon wipes work best. You can order from Amazon or wherever in bulk. Use half to wipe off the poison and half to clean your face after.

Thank you for this journalism. The journalists sure aren’t doing it.

Paras are all the guns with none of the discipline.

It seems the NYT’s house guide is to treat the current SCOTUS interpretation of the bribery law - it’s all OK unless it’s buying a specific favor - as if that’s what normal people thought a “bribe” was.

Political elite, sadly true. But this guy in particular has turned out to be a right-wing extremist who’s been hiding in a civil rights organization and finally feels free to Be Himself. File under the Fascist Inveiling, not Civil Society’s Cowardice. (We’re keeping files for those, right?)

Or, they continue to make it up as they go along. I respect the evil, but am uncertain they have the basic foresight.

Do I care if anyone piles on this random lady I'll never meet? No. But it's real bullshit to publicly announce you're too good for the kids you're teaching.

She figures her career's going nowhere, and he promised her something. Deputy director of cop donuts. Who knows. When someone does something bizarre in NYC politics, you can assume a shockingly petty bribe happened and move on with your day.

Freedom and Justice. Freedom to live your life the way that's right for you. Justice so we can live together in peace and safety. Everything else we love flows from there, and everything else falls apart if we lose them.

In your professional experience, has an agency ever voluntarily released a pre-release proposed rule via FOIA? Genuinely curious.

But if the point they're making is "young men used to get paid a socially-superior salary just for having a dong and now they don't, and they're pissed off about that" - point taken I suppose, the reactive psychology doesn't have to care about the underlying pattern being Generally A Good Thing.

The real-absolute-dollar numbers shown below show this same basic pattern, so I'll mute my criticism - but their showing it as a percentile is truly bizarre. If non-college men used to start out at the 70th percentile, all this indicates is that women used to be undereducated and underpaid!

I'm currently engaged in a running skirmish with my team's ranking AI Enthusiast, in which every problem involves my suggesting we ask an SME for context, and their countering that SMEs are a waste of time because we can just feed all our data into an ML model to find correlations.

How has every institution not yet learned that the only response the DJT administration respects is Go Fuck Yourself?

Godspeed, Joe. Lets win this bit together so we can get back to arguing loudly over tax rates and renewable energy subsidies and normal government stuff like civilized people.

Christ Chuck, we're headed face down into fascism and your number one priority you can actually muster up an angry face for is still bombing Iran. Just go home.

What in the hell has Jonathan Greenblatt done to the ADL. I mean, I know the answer, but it’s like watching the SPLC come out in favor of segregation.

Does "AI" here mean "control F"?

Over the last few decades there are a lot of external myths associated with a fusion of information technology and nouveau management practices. www.programmablemutter.com/p/blitzscali...
