It just kept us from learning how to deal with it, and made it almost impossible to teach our kids how. So much of our current social stress is about not knowing how to grieve, not knowing how to take the L.

I miss paper maps. I miss the big Rand-McNally road atlas, I miss the Maine Gazetteer by Delorme, I miss the Thomas Guide. They were the only way I had any real sense of where I was.
