As with you, my experience is companies lack the will and intent to take rehabilitation seriously. Personally, decades of recommendations (usually the same ones, repeated over and over because they were not listening) to provide effective ecological outcomes were mostly ignored on so many projects.

I totally agree on your general thrust, although, as with their compatriots to the east of the range, their rehabilitation has been exceedingly poor. Rehabilitation will never replace what has been lost, and will never happen under the influence of rapid anthropogenic climate change.

Central Australia is a very big place stretching over a few States and Territories 😁. Their actions are as indiscriminate as the actions of, say, illegal settlers in the occupied territories.
