But obviously this only happens when there is nobody to witness it!

This is my problem. I needed to change my car last year but had to buy a hybrid because I have nowhere that I can park and charge my car. I would 100% have bought fully electric if I’d had the option.

I was very confused to read about John Prescott’s funeral during the week as I thought he’d died ages ago. I was right. He died in NOVEMBER www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Back at the end of the 1980s, we had “Father” Michael Cleary at one point and the Catholic Marriage people another time. It was always, contraception doesn’t work. Just say no. It was also against school rules to fraternize with boys while in school uniform…

My granny who was a domestic science AND English teacher always told us that you eat soup. Is it an American edition, maybe?

How do you feel about marmalade? I’ve been making it as sort of occupational therapy over the last few weeks (marmalade oranges only available Dec-Feb) and the smells are amazing. Tastes pretty good too!

Thank you. Will definitely try it. My most recent bread making attempts have been a bit feeble.

I am quite aware of the purpose of the Seanad and how it works. Law degree is old but not that old. I’ve been voting in Seanad elections since the mid-1990s. My point was that it was quite difficult to find information on many of the candidates. It wasn’t aimed at you in particular.

There were only 3 candidates with broad name recognition. The existing senators. Of the others, initially there was a shortage of or very vague information available but quite a few were walking red flags. I only got the flyers late last week, after I’d voted. But, I’m sure I gave you a preference.

It was such a disappointing panel to chose from. Really struggled to go beyond first few preferences

I was in Lidl buying heaps of biscuits chocolate and butter to make a very large chocolate biscuit birthday cake. The looks I got from the French guy behind me with his steak and asparagus… I now realise it could have been so much worse!

In addition to it being an imaginary threat, it will have huge consequences. I wouldn’t let my daughter play anything that required someone to do that. I doubt I’m alone. So women’s sports will probably just die out. It’s almost like they’re trying to keep women out of the public realm…

Oh that’s shite. I’ve found it a big help. I’m getting something every month so I’m lucky but the actual patches keep changing and are all slightly different so it’s not ideal. How people are managing re other stuff like ADHD meds is beyond me

Are you on HRT? It helps with mine. Although at the moment with all the shortages it’s a bit hit and miss

What can we do? Everyone I know voted as left as possible but it seemed to make no difference… It’s like when I looked at the NUI Seanad ballot. So few who align with my values.

Thanks so much for the spreadsheet.
The NUI list is very weak altogether. Apart from Alice Mary Higgins 🤩and the two outgoing awful male senators 🤢 there are no well known names. Given the size of the NUI graduate pool it’s pretty mind boggling.

Also pointedly referring to the deceased as “Irish Nationals” seemed very weird
