Cats work. They catch mice and other vermin. If you have no work to give them, it isn't their fault.

I am no fan of Musk, but I think NASA had similar challenges in its early days, much to the amusement of the Soviets.

Well, then they will be like the UEL, many of whom accepted that things had changed forever and thus went back home anyway, and made peace with their former enemies.

She will bring a certain outlook, I have no doubt. But it isn't as if Nova Scotia isn't already full of Americans. Notably, the South Shore.

You are on a general waitlist anyway, which in my province is in the tens of thousands. It is not much different in Nova Scotia. I rely on online medicine and, when I can manage to book an appointment, a clinic. I only got on the clinic list as I have conditions that need monitoring.

Yes, she could travel back to the United States and pay a doctor there. In Canada, except for certain procedures, that is essentially not an option. I moved to a new city in late 2022 and haven't had a family doctor since then as there are none taking on patients.

To use complete British spelling, grammar and punctuation at this point would be an affectation. Rather than use a mixture of British and American styles, as we do now, it would be better to adopt American. I think things are evolving to that anyway.

CP Style once used American spelling for words like "color," and they should have stuck with it. American spelling was once widely used in Canadian newspapers. They should have stuck with it. My main issue with it is that it is often illogical and inconsistent.

I'm working for American spelling, punctuation and grammar, as I have for years. Or rather, we should go full British or full American, and full American is more sensible.

So that's how we're going to hit 2% GDP on military spending this year: paying even more for already overpriced jets!

Yes, and he was also a WWI veteran. In WWI he seems to have signed his name as McNaughton and he is in the records that way. The Canadian Encyclopedia spells it MacNaughton. Sometime between the wars he must have changed his mind!
