I’ve played many fun games, yet one of them definitely has to be Super Mario 64 thanks to its open world level design, missions and secrets and especially controlling Mario himself. It’s a blast just running around Peach’s gardens.

That was a pretty damn good State of Play. I really like the look of 007 First Light and Marvel Tōkon. It’s great seeing Final Fantasy Tactics and PS1 Resident Evil 2/3 getting rereleased and I honestly squealed at Lumines Arise and the Mortal Kombat compilation. Good show all around.

Dragon Quest IX for both. I remember being intrigued by this game being constantly advertised in magazines and on TV, especially its customisable character gimmick. Once I understood how these games work, it captivated me not only making me a fan of the series, but other RPGs to come.

But yeah it was a decent Direct. A new Gradius game, Rhythm Heaven and Tomadachi Life are back and Metroid Prime 4 looks fantastic. Nintendo Today also looks intriguing. Just wish Nintendo’s output had specific release dates though but I imagine this is because of the Switch 2’s launch.
