there is/was no migrant crisis. the trade deficit is no immediate threat and is the result of macroeconomic forces. inflation was already at an acceptable level in nov 2024. we did this because of boomer facebook memes. like, none of it is real

This is how digital feudalism works.
It offers the illusion of empowerment. Likes become validation. Followers feel like influence. Monetisation looks like success.
But the rules are hidden. The platform decides what rises and what vanishes.

Just like medieval serfs, you don’t own the land.
You don’t control the tools, the terms, or the outcomes.
You perform endlessly, hoping for reward, but the real value flows upward.
You are the labour and the product.

This needs to be baked into any one’s mind who’s still at the Twitter.
It’s the illusion of a public square.

okay i made the mistake of looking through the replies. jfc when did we decide upon the sanctity of humans driving vehicles like it’s some noble profession worthy of defending, instead of one of the few things unambiguously worth replacing with computers?

LOL Hegseth ain't paying. Right now all they're talking about on military forums is how the deployments are broken up into 29 day blocks so DoD doesn't have to pay them active duty benefits INCLUDING no allowance for housing.
Bring these dudes some cold water. They'll keep ICE off your back.

the hong kong protestors used the phrase "do not split" to mean that the radical protest and peaceful protest arms of the movement should refuse to criticize each other.

I also highly doubt that Ukrainian Intelligence kept a massive operation secret for 1.5 yrs, but then "accidentally" leaked the next one to the Washington Post before it's even started.

I bet the anti-Ukraine folk in the WH admin will be trying to ensure this isn't strictly 1 on 1.
Last time that happened we had a week of Trump nearly supporting Ukraine, which they'll want to avoid.

Putin's stated intent is a genocidal destruction of the Ukrainian state and culture. And he's demonstrated that continuously with direct violence and mass forced-migration.
In the absence of Western support, more people die, not less.
And that ignores what he'd next do to Eastern Europe.

With this turn, and the prior trajectory, I'd give it a 50% chance Elon doesn't make it to 2026.

Having completely alienated the entire world to the left of Trump (most of the world), he's now trying to alienate the last 30%.
Genuinely seems like he's on a self-destructive bender. It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't make it out of this year.
