I was saying to my sister the other day how I’m much more proud to be a Londoner than I am to be English. This city is wonderful. Not perfect (if it was I wouldn’t belong here!) but it has so much variety in every sense. Hard to match.

My son had to learn about this one for his history exam. We’ve been finding it interesting learning about the Red Scare this year.

The problem is that the people who voted for the ā€˜stop the boats’ rhetoric will think this drop in migration is a win.

Hi, is this the Pippa Is Leaving Support Group?

On the one hand, I can see this to be true. On the other, why would he wait for actual statistics? He never let that hold him back from a false claim before.

I was speaking with a friend recently about how I’m not sure I’ll ever finish reading the Sandman comics (that I’ve owned for years) now. The violent creepy aspects were once part of the story, now they clearly are a part of the predatory author.

Really wish it wasn’t called a ā€˜Bootcamp’ though. Why make it sound like a gruelling punishment?

Ugh. Grim.

No one is surprised any more. But too many are desensitised.

If you get the chance, snap it up! I saw them last year and the energy and good vibes in the venue make me smile to remember.

But so many kids have almost unlimited YouTube, and if their parent asks and a kid says ā€˜he’s giving money to people to do a supermarket dash’ or whatever, then it’s easy to sound harmless to the parents.

I have had to have *many* talks with my sons about him over the years. It’s insidious, because at first it didn’t seem too bad, objectively. But it always, always made me feel sick to my stomach, so I’m glad I’ve always let them know this.

If you rearrange the letters in the name "Penelope Keith", it forms the sentence "I shot JFK" if you remove some letters and add some others. Coincidence?

I am so looking forward to going to this museum šŸ•Šļø My son and I went through the MoL gallery by gallery each week with some friends before it closed, we’re excited to see the new look, location etc.

Well, if it were the Tories I would say the point is divide and conquer, and make a problem out of a minority group so they can grab the easy hate votes by saying they’ll solve the aforementioned problem instead of taxing the rich. But this is Labour… So, yeh.

5 billion per year is nothing. Tax the fucking rich.

PIP did its own internal investigation and the rates of PIP fraud were so low they put it at 0%

And they are not getting PIP for ā€˜zero reason’. I’m not going to continue this.
comment in response to post
I think you’re aware that no one is disagreeing that there’s a massive lack of support. That doesn’t make your claim that people are on PIP for zero reason any less false.

Every now and then I realise how much work I’m putting in to being numb to it, and then I understand why I’m so exhausted. And if I think too much on it, I fall apart.

It's cheaper to feed you misinformation than it is to feed you and your family!

Anyone who has had to go through the PIP process knows this is not true.
