For the #Teslatakedown crowd, AI is how many of these tech billionaires make money from the public. If you want to stick it to Musk and the dweebs in his shadow, pushing for strict AI regulation (or outright ban) is another great way to do it. But we can’t do that if they ban state regulation. 6/

For the Conservatives: This is a pure violation of state’s rights. If they can say states aren’t allowed to regulate a technology at all, then that sets a precedent for the federal government to ban states from other basic regulations. 5/

By banning state regulation, this would make tech billionaires like Musk, Marc Andreessen, and Peter Theil above the law with regard to AI. They can do whatever they want and claim it is for AI and can’t be regulated. These are Trump’s pals, and this is their reward. 4/
