Our audience is so tiny, every day we get local customers on their first visit to Little Deer!
You may think everyone you know knows Little Deer but you’d be mistaken!

People who say that need a special place in hell. Last year at an event someone told me i was overpriced for my originals( gouache) and that she would come back by the end to see em reduced. I sold them all full price , two of them to the same person 🤣

The second person was nicer but still the scan was not up to scratch for a book ☠️. Does anyone has recs for a3 or bigger art scanning in Dublin please? Because i just cannot have originals getting damaged. ☠️ ( or being delayed and wasting 4 hours of my time like that)

Im with you on that , my dad’s “ i paid for your therapy so you should be ok now”. Nope, at 17 i paid for my own therapy . Oh and “ why cant you get over your abuse” F that . It is terrible when parents dont offer you the support they should give without a hesitation.

Like seriously 1/2 weeks of work each depending on the intricacy. ☠️( it is faster than when i debuted as im not running a shop 6/7 days a week ☠️)

Anyway that’s why i rarely do commissions because really my work takes so much time and my supplies are costly. So i might as well instead do linocuts or write my stories snd sell the resulting prints/derived products at cons, who are so rewarding . Thumbs up for my top notch cons customers ❤️

Like seriously i have made more with a single one of my linocuts editions than i did with this cover. And people who are going to say “ exposure” . It never got me any exposure . And would you ask a baker to bake for exposure! Nope, i wouldnt. I would want to pay them the proper wage .

So yeah morale of the story, keep mail proof of correspondence to not be f*** over( pardon my english), and value your work. It is bloody insulting to expect me to work for half the price of what i earned 12 years ago, while im more skilled, and…. Inflation. Your work deserves proper compensation ❤️

I will sadly have to decline, it is more Profitable for me to work on new illustrations to sell at cons. Kind regards, Elisabeth Neveux

So this is my answer: hi xxx , i appreciate tremendously that you thought of me, but i will have to decline. I charge 350 for one a5 for non commercial projects, usually a cd cover starts at 500 minimum. I remember last cd cover i did for uou was 300 as i was a beginner. Two covers would be double.
