This. Couldn't get sinus meds a few days before delivery even though both nasal passages were totally clogged and kinda needed for proper breathing techniques. "We can't give you anything. Just in case". Nobody is getting "Whoopsie" abortions with 30 seconds left in the game.

Well, don't forget the important part-- not just about to give birth-- but about to give birth AND just kinda wants to quit in the middle of the delivery. Just a little Hail OG virgin-birth Mary, with a quick factory reset.

My point was more in reference to the hypocrisy. The level of scrutiny for the mid-level peasants (like me) compared to those with extreme power/influence and ability to make significant manipulations.

Not admin, but what I'm referring to is slightly different than "insider trading" or purely financial ones. Conflict of Interest sigs were required at every campus I've worked at, in multiple states. It's more like, does your family run Kaplan? B/c that could be relevant if you require their tests.

I just imagine him using his Master's students as unintentional "spies" to collect info through interviews and other group projects common to that major. And depts gladly assisting to help the students, not knowing what was actually happening.

One of the most upsetting things, is knowing that as a Higher Ed professor, his beliefs go against basically all our professional values & that his position would have given him unique access to inside info that other folks might not have.

They really held back on Career Day, didn't they?? So many cool options we could have explored. Who knew Global-scale, Live-action, "Emperor's New Clothes" reenactor was a possibility too??

Been looking for this comment, before I shared this same!! OneTab is a lifesaver because I get the joy of bulk close, without the fear. And, you can group them, and name the list like-- Car Pricing Research March 2025, if you actually wanna find the group more easily.

Yep! I work in Higher Ed (you know, notoriously high salaries for all) and we have to sign Conflict of Interest statements about 20 pages long, assuring that we aren't taking a single red cent from anything adjacent/related. And our relatives aren't. Nor our future kids. But go nuts Congress!!

Based on my experience at a former, frequently 'consultant-scavenged' campus, the appeal is getting yourself hired by those same firms, years down the road. After your campus has been picked clean by the prey you invited, your transformation into vulture nepobaby is complete.

Hey now, lists of 3 or more are hard to remember. Like, the primary colors, the 4 singers in the Beatles, the 5 great lakes (without that acronym).

My takeaway from that article-- a 42 year old man, child of immigrants, had to be reminded by his mother that immigrants are human.

What?? Gary, the former Dept of Corrections worker, supports breaking the law? What a crazy twist that absolutely nobody could have predicted.

But...they have the meats. What were the people to do? Ignore the meats??

In my hamlet, a giant eagle screeched across the morning sky and plunged his talons into the only slightly polluted town pond, to grasp a fish for his breakfast. When soon I relaized he was pulling up an entire Giant Eagle grocery store, with free eggs for all. Must thank Zuck, it was all very Meta.

I was seriously wondering if whoever wrote this knew they are quoting Frankenstein??! And furthermore, do they know how that story ends? A hint- not well. For the patient, nor the doctor.

We're the 'bad guys' because we stopped grinning and bearing it. That's why so many of them speak of their grandmothers as being the exemplars. The ideal to strive to. For them, it was when women had to endure the ridiculousness out of necessity. The new realities are much harder for them to accept

It's Georgia O'Keeffe meets South Park. On a dot matrix canvas.

I also use ground turkey for mine! But i prefer it with Quick Tators, instead of the full-size Tator Tots. Cause they're crispier. But now I'm thinking if I did it as meal prep (like you) that wouldn't even matter and also, more potatoes!

In some ways, the decline in WI reminded me of Missouri. When I was growing up, we were a swing state, very purple. Democrat Claire McCaskill repped us in many positions from the 1980s until 2018 when she was defeated by none other than Josh Hawley. They are like locusts. Mindless destruction.

We do Sunday night movie night as a family and the last couple of times, my spouse has used his pick for Mighty Ducks and then the kids begged for him to follow-up with D2. The humor appealed to the pre-teens big time. And of course we parents got to quote every line. Lol!

Does she talk any about how to untangle it? I'm interested but feel like the only way I can take it is if there's some hope at the end of the tunnel...

I knew it. All this time. 15% budget contingency plans and travel freezes, all for what?? Could have had that extra GA line and maybe even stayed at the Ritz.

Because they need us more than we need them, and that terrifies them.

No, don't make me laugh this hard!! Currently on day 2 and spouse and I started like-- thank goodness for multiple bathrooms. Then-- thank goodness for buckets. This morning we moved onto-- can you imagine walking outside to go in a outhouse, in the cold/middle of night? There is only bathroom.

Amuse-bouche version would have been plenty. Now I'm up to my ears in leftover doom.

3 trips to the ER in the past year, tell me I don't know anything. But after loads of tests being clear, seems the likely culprit is my brain fueling my anxiety. So beta blockers have helped the physical symptoms enough it doesn't feel like my heart is being pulled out through my throat/back.

Can confirm, happened to me yesterday. Or at least, I got the credit score notice. What's even better, I saw much of this Sq show coming, so did consolidation over the summer, and by the time it was processed, everything was on hold. So i don't even have a payment amount I could make. Payment = $0

Both kids were 12. The girl was pregnant, so the parents "encouraged" the marriage. Don't know why he thought that extremely rare and nuanced and ultimately sad case was "proof" that child marriage is okay, when the takeaway should be importance of early Human Development & Sex Ed classes.

They don't realize the dental school, that covers like 75% of the state's reduced/no cost exams for lower-income families- yeah, that's staffed by folks with medical degrees, who have to be paid commiserately. Who are required to teach and train our students so there are future doctors.

Let's not be too hasty, there are also several billboards for Lion's Den, an adult entertainment chain. Perhaps those are to encourage the baby-making.

Is this backstage footage before he walked out last night?? Jk, but I'd believe if it was.

I kinda believe that the "common sense" line, is because they know they can't say "daddy's back" like their weirdo base, so it's like the "dignified" version and less misogynistic than "the men are back in charge". Still dumb, but that's my current thought analysis of the thoughtless.

Agreed. I always thought that would be the one that got him. Mocking a disabled reporter, no. We already have to point out slurs/ableism constantly. Grabbing women against their will, no. Half this country hates women. But vets, especially combat POWs, I never thought he'd recover from that offense

"Water cleanliness circumstances" -- what does that even mean?? Preferences, Tolerance level?? Me, I'm a zero fecal matter in my water kinda gal, but that's just how I grew up.

Tweets aren't law. Also, protests aren't illegal, so there's no way to host an illegal protest. Problem solved. No masks in general, or masks at illegal protests? Cause if the 2nd, we've already addressed it. My campus renamed our space for this "speaker's bureau" so we're hosting a lively speech.

My dude works for a private, religiously affiliated school. And got his doctorate from an evangelical one. Add in the military background. Yep, all that tracks. They always accuse us of trying to bring liberal ideals to "indoctrinate" the masses, meanwhile they're just mad b/c that's their thing.

Made it all day without issue and then almost had a whoopsie, 30 min ago. My brain- I don’t wanna cook dinner, today sucked. Opens app. No, bad brain!

That blows and I can’t imagine how that would make me feel. I'm sorry that's happening to you. I'd love to see your list or some of your top recs? Always love a curated list!!

Is that a real thing, the docs making you eat gluten again so the antibodies activate? I was hoping that was made up or exaggerated!! (I'm likely gonna have to do the same in 3 weeks, after I meet with my allergies & was crossing my fingers it was unusual as opposed to the norm.)

The production I do just hoping I remember, is batty. I have a specific alarm, with music. That music is themed to match. I make sure I'm standing. I click the pill against my teeth 5 times while tapping my foot to the same beat. And still, 2 hrs later I'm like- shoot, did I take my medicine? Today?

Absolutely! Or, in the case of several I work with, replying to nonstop data requests with 24 hr turnaround to respond to things like "fiscal notes" from state legislative bodies. Sometimes, the "bloat" was created out of necessity for compliance or other mandatory reporting.

For anyone interested in this topic, recommend- Invisible Women: Data Bias in a World Designed for Men, by Caroline Criado-Perez. "But when your big data is corrupted by big silences, the truths you get are half-truths at best. And often, for women, they aren't true at all."

I don't think it has a name, but agree with you, it should. And every person in my house has it. All it takes to activate is like two words. You say, "if you" (my brain/mouth-- want to call me baby, just go ahead now and if you)

Of course they don't, and worse, it's the absolute antithesis of the ASMR community, which is by and large super supportive, protective and understanding of individual struggles and challenges. No ASMR listener is clamoring for that kind of trash.

I quit in March 2020 (when the COVID is a hoax stuff was kicking up). Login maybe 1-3 times per/year and always regret it. Thank you for this reminder because I've almost broke a few times this week and I don't need any more negativity!

I've been doing something similar lately, with the addition of shredded carrots, crispy chili oil, and ripped up nori, so good!!
