As Akhmatova wrote (in 1940):
If you only knew what kind of trash
Poems shamelessly grow from:
Like weeds under the fence,
Like crabgrass, dandelions.
An angry shout, the smell of fresh tar,
Mysterious mildew on the wall—
And a poem begins, sounding fervent, tender,
Making us all joyful.

Swift update:
The phrase "I threw my phone across the room at you" sounds very different when sang by a 24 vs a 34 years old. It almost feels like the social implications are different
(I'm really that slow. But moving from album 5 to 6 now. In my timeline she just switched to hiphop! Wow!)

There's literally several alternative pieces of software now for worldbuilding that all start with modeling tectonic dynamics, then do erosion, ocean currents, superjets, climates, and then arrive at possible civilization hotspots :)

And the Turkish government claimed that the mosque is sponsored by Gülen organizatoin (a secular yet mystical society I still need to read more about, but also the archenemy of Turkish dictatorship).

One of their projects is a slogan "Love is permissible" (Liebe ist halal). Always leads to complications.
Interestingly, they aren't loved by the govt (DE nor Berlin), as the right ignores Islam, while the left reaches to more conservative organizations. Liberal Islam falls in an "uncanny valley"

In 2009 she published a book advocating for liberal Islam, and received so many death threats that she had to "disappear from the public view" for 3 years. Since then she is also under 24/7 protection from police.

The main force behind the project, and now the leader of the congregation, Seyran AteÅŸ, of mixed Turkish-Kurdish origins, worked with victims of family violence. At 21, she was wounded by a Turkish nationalist as he "honor killed" her client. Then she became a lawyer. Then established the mosque.

Originally (until 2020) the mosque rented space from a Lutheran church of St. Johannis in Moabit. Grounded in 2017 by 6 people, two of which withdrew endorsement immediately before the opening because of death threats. Public figures suspected of sympathy to the idea received death threats as well.

Wow this is so cool! Thank you for posting this! It's so unexpected in a way that you shape it like that, that it's not a spidery lineart rendered! Educational! Supercool!

I can't help but wonder why it is vaguely anthropomorphic though. Google is no help. Or maybe I'm imagining things, and that's just the only way to keep a piece of cloth in place, mechanically, who knows.

Wiki offers three opinions of what a gudi symbolizes, but honestly they sound about as reasonable as the comparisons of a Xmas tree to the palm of Eden, or a prototype of a Cross: that is, post-factum exegesis. Yet the object seems to be super-popular!
