Exactly what a joke

That sounds like effort and money. Isn't it cheaper to just bribe influencers like normally happens?
comment in response to post
Whelp, so that exists apparently.

Having the opportunity to react with characters you actually brought to life has to be fun, as far as fun is applicable in this mess.

I'd put money on his name being on that same list tbh.

The door prevents entry. The trap harms me for trying. Keeping the files on a secure drive off the internet prevents access. (The door). Adversarial attack harms the ai for trying to train on the content. (Trap). either way preferred answer is regulation, you had a good concept for that.
comment in response to post
The difference between a lock and a boobytraps is significant though and i feel is absent in that comment.
comment in response to post
Intense greed and disregard for long term consequences to people less fortunate then you does feel very malicious.
comment in response to post
Turns out there's a great way to get more custom content exactly the way you want. Commissioning is always an option. It's that or make it yourself.
comment in response to post
Of course he's not. What you present is a strawman. "the open source community" it's kind of in the name i used to describe communities of which the content is, well open source.
comment in response to post
Whilst I'm a pretty strong pro ai individual your nuance of "proprietary ip" in there makes a huge difference. This would prevent "big corpo" from doing what it does but leaves the open source communities in peace to keep tinkering. Yeah I'd be down with that variant. Regulate, regulate, regulate.
comment in response to post
Boobytraps are not a societal healthy concept. We outlaw them for actual boobytraps as well. In it's place are laws and regulation about the use of force. Have sane laws regulating ai instead of trapping, much healthier.
comment in response to post
I think in a healthier world there's better laws surrounding ai both against misuse and this boobytrapping.
comment in response to post
That feels less like the most practical route and more like the doctor flexing and going "you won't believe how ill pull this off!"

Less hate, more art.
comment in response to post
Interesting how every hate mob says that.
comment in response to post
You're doing great work just ignore the hate mob that's formed.
comment in response to post
Ah so it's mindless hate, how unfortunate. I think I'm done interacting with you.
comment in response to post
There is no midjourney, no prompt i draw. Not sure why you keep going back to prompts. I think you hate ao art without understanding what you hate exactly. You keep bringing up stuff i don't use.
comment in response to post
If you want low quality ai art just prompt. If you want good quality ai art you'll need to draw, no prompting. This means you need traditional art skills and machine learning knowledge. So yes, you need both.
comment in response to post
The pollution thing comes from a study where they took the energy use from building the ai and used that number for every request in their math. It's like using the pollution number of an entire car factory and using that nr for every trip. Remember, you can run ai on a phone locally.
comment in response to post
I'm using a drawing tablet every line drawn by me together with the ai there's no prompting here.
comment in response to post
Attempts have been made. Perhaps one will succeed when things get bad enough.
comment in response to post
Turns out getting good output is a skill. It's easy to get large amounts of low quality content but that's useless. Making good use of ai is a skill that needs to be trained on top of good writing. You need both to succeed, there's no shortcuts.
comment in response to post
No i run an ai in the background of my art program it monitors my canvas and every stroke i draw it influences i have a lot of control over what, how strong, goals, etc. thus i draw live together with the ai it is a spooky collaborative art process really cool to work with.
comment in response to post
I think we have reached ultimate silly with that line. Take a step back perhaps and re-read that response about my theft accessory pencil and think about who It is stealing from exactly when it's my hand drawing lines here.
comment in response to post
That's not how ai works it's very unfortunate this keeps getting parroted around. Perhaps in a few years when it's better understood these things can be dismissed. It's the same every time a new technology pops up it's misunderstood till better education comes around.
comment in response to post
Shortcuts? To make traditional art you learn how to draw. To make good ai art you learn how to draw AND script nodegraphs, code a little and learn s bit of machine learning fundamentals. You need more knowledge, not less. You need the traditional art skills plus ai.
comment in response to post
My pencil disagrees with you.
comment in response to post
That's such a strange comment to make in response to someone enthusiastic about drawing.
comment in response to post
Nah, you can make amazing art with ai. Just grab your tablet and start drawing. Pick up a pencil and go wild working together with it, it's great fun !
comment in response to post
Nah. It's amazing at what it does. Only a poor artist blames his tools.
comment in response to post
I wouldn't use midjourney. Comfy ui's ai plugin for Krita however is amazing. I draw on my cintiq and live together with me the ai creates together we work on the same canvas it's amazing to paint and create like that merged art together traditional with ai. A lot of fun < 3
comment in response to post
exactly. Make your art, share some joy ignore the hate. They will vanish in a few years anyway to hate the next new thing, np. Enjoy : )
comment in response to post
That's not the real world. So you can stew in your hate and sour up like a grape. Or accept that the world changes and leave your hate behind. Pick which sounds healthier perhaps ?
comment in response to post
Yup hate all of those. But to hate art and people's self expression. That's just not healthy.
comment in response to post
You don't sound happy, that's a lot of bitterness.
comment in response to post
Do better, hate less.
comment in response to post
Alternative idea. Be a healthier happier version of yourself by letting go of all this hate and art gatekeeping. Let people enjoy a hobby, let people enjoy art, be a better person.
comment in response to post
Nah just appreciate art regardless of source. Stop the hate, be better
comment in response to post
If he now uses ai assistance to help practice drawing we've reached ai equilibrium.
comment in response to post
Hiding ai use is the correct and ethical choice. Any mention of ai leads to endless harassment doxing death threats and worse. Till that stops every ai artist should hide themselves for their own safety.

Lolno he was shit. He's just not a bigoted fascist unlike the current man in power. Let's not pretend he was some great President.

Wut? He was terrible your viewpoint is just warped because trump is infinitely worse. But don't go pretending he was actually good he just wasn't a corrupt fascist. Really low bar i know.
