…in the moment of writing when my head is swirling and all the craft lessons I’ve learned are fighting for center stage, that simple distillation of it all has been so helpful. Because you are probably more intuitive than you realize. Don’t get too bogged down in complicated concepts.

There’s plenty of industry speak around this same idea: Be sure to connect everything to the “third rail” or the “misbelief.” Consider the “truth vs the lie.” What is the “fatal flaw?” All those concepts are great. But…
