I’m trying to book at a center. I understand that bottles should be clear so people don’t smuggle in things to cheat but it seems a bit much to need to request it. And I need to know bathroom breaks are allowed as otherwise I will get major anxiety. But I don’t know why they must phone me to book

Same although I’m not convinced I can last that long without water or a toilet break 😬 and I’d quite like to pass the exam. I don’t know why they have to make the whole process so stressful 😥

Very true! I wish I had more say in that but I’m auditing a site that’s already built. I can always make the recommendation though

Just be a fair weather gardener 👨🌾 I stay inside with a good book when the weather is bad

True! Back, thighs, arms usually all end up hurting after a few hours in the garden 😅

Having a garden is a fun side project. I find weeding is quite therapeutic 🌱

It’s not a keyboard trap if you can tab past it but something like a skip link at the beginning of it could be helpful

I think this is half the problem. Every time I install something the instructions include some sort of add $PATH to zrhrc or bashrc and all the different repos conflict with each other and cause me a headache. Plus that I don’t really know what all the setup commands do, it’s just chaos

Yeah, that’s terrible. People shouldn’t have to pay extra for something to be accessible. That’s like adding a disability tax

It’s very odd! Today after trying to install a react native project it couldn’t find a path for any emulator even though I had one running and then my terminal decided that even node -v was no longer a command it recognised 🤷🏻♀️

MacOS. I’ve never had problems before and several people in my team run into similar issues so I think it’s something weird with how our customer has things set up

I think I’d just like to see more libraries where it doesn’t seem like an afterthought. Either it’s included on every page or it has its own section on what to include and where accessibility issues might arise if not careful

Good point! I think any docs is better than no docs but definitely agree that the quality can leave a lot to be desired.
One library I’m currently looking at does have some reference to aria roles but it was hidden several links deep so that doesn’t make me feel like it’s a priority

They’re such a good resource but often underappreciated. I went to a library in Stockholm the other day and they even have a guitar you can borrow 😀

No problem 😀 I guess playing around with Lego braille bricks has its advantages 😄

There will be a t12t meetup at Spotify for GAAD on May 15th but tickets are not released yet

Definitely, are you planning on coming up for GAAD? I’m also going to look into travel/accommodation for accessibility summit in Germany

Axe con or some other event?
I’m hoping to catch some axe con webinars and attend an axe con watch party with colleagues on the Friday
