Well… if it isn’t your subconscious mind mulling over the fact that the world is going to hell in a handcart…

Having spent a holiday in nearby Fenny Stratford, I delight in telling people that one of my best holidays was spent “in” Milton Keynes

And all the youngsters saying “oh my days” (which I honestly thought my young nephew had come up with by himself, thinking that his parents wouldn’t like him saying “oh my god”!)

Having a “crush” used to sound incredibly old-fashioned to my ears, but seems to have made a comeback

I think back with nostalgia to the time when it was just the one pile… now I just think of myself as having a whole library of things I haven’t yet read to choose from!

Six film titles that are misleading… 6. Mission Impossible (it was possible) 5. Goodfellas (they were pretty bad actually) 4. Jurassic Park (Cretaceous Park more like) 3. The Constant Gardener (never even starts gardening) 2. The Man Who Wasn’t There (yes he was) 1. The NeverEnding Story (ends)

I’m lucky as the bookish auntie that I follow lots of children’s authors, and can come up with ideas of books their parents and grandparents wouldn’t think of. I got asked to set up a wish list with ideas for my oldest nephew by his parents for this reason!

Found a Pictish stone in Strathmiglo, Fife, conveniently located right next to the cafe/vintage shop I went to visit!

Yes, I loved Popco too and decided to get more of her books, and Shit London is exactly the sort of photos of weird everyday stuff I often take myself!

I’ve had this bookmarked for so long, as I want to do a journal page about them all 😍

I also just found out, on a tour of the Wemyss Caves in Fife, that he was involved in cataloguing the Pictish carvings there!
