I’m curious about your thoughts regarding the language used on “love on the spectrum” if you’ve seen it on Netflix. Many of the leads are older, so maybe that makes a difference, but they rarely, if at all, use autistic. Thank you for the detailed explanation.

This work you are doing is so important. We can’t even get a proper eval until my daughter’s mood is stabilized, but they put her on meds that increase the thoughts. It took 4 years to get a psychiatrist appt. ASD is confirmed, but they are questioning the ADHD diagnosis and thinking OCD as we wait

I would argue this is like the “I don’t see color” argument. You can recognize and appreciate that people are different races, cultures, religions, etc. without judging. The idea of the melting pot is outdated.
