This seems misleading. It was reported elsewhere that Trump said he'd negotiated a ceasefire and they immediately replied that he hadn't. Do better and stop reporting Trump's statements as factual.

But Trump said "Now is the time for peace"??? lol

Saw the big toys and wanted to play with them

Infuriating. As allies we have an obligation to come to the US's aid if they're in trouble. That doesn't obligate us to join wars they start. Part of why LNP lost was us wanting distance between Trump, but hey, lets support bombing Iran and fucking the world economy more
comment in response to post
It's so gross. Not defending Iran but come off it! Israel attacked them first. Sure they claim that "Iran funds Hamas" but they've also claimed that Iran is two weeks away from enriched uranium since 2008 or so. Just more, US presidents starting wars without congressional aproval

Sadly true to America's post WW2 legacy. Starting wars. Per GOP presidents, starting wars without congressional approval. How much of this was, Trump saw his toys on his birthday weekend and wanted an excuse to use them?

The least charismatic and capable world leader, a renowned liar with a cabinet full of unqualified sycophants is raising hopes is he?
comment in response to post
hmm, I don't think this was a well thought out post. Iran has apparently been 2 weeks away from fully enriched uranium since 2008... but you know how the US likes to cry WMD's so they can bomb brown folks. Also, Israel is attacking everyone. That's not defence. Bombs aren't defence.

10-7=3 - the one explained by driving =2.. You missed the point though. My point was that driving doesn't do much for foul numbers. For Shai it's only 10% of his trips to the line. He plays fewer minutes than Joker too. Doesn't mean he's not great, just means he gets a lot of foul calls
comment in response to post
Nope. NBA rate of fouls per drive in 2025 was 8.4%. Shai leads in drives sure but that accounts for 1.2 more fouls than Jokic. Still a disparity.

Piece of the utmost shit
comment in response to post
Explain Joker's 7.2 per game in the post season then... This doesn't take away from Shao being amazing, it's just stating that he gets different treatment from refs. I'm a spurs fan so no horse in the race but definitely see more arse calls from refs go OKCs way

100% leave the bullshit performances, bluster and inaction to the GOP. Honestly, the posing camera opps just conjure one phrase to mind - libtards. Not great messaging. We don't need fake dem protest. We need actual action. Ask Bernie and AOC how it's done.

I've been offline for a few days, what happened to the news of Trump being in the Epstein files?
comment in response to post
He called it one on truth social, not that that makes anything official

Slander away, once he's clear of his traffic infringement (lol) he can sie the fuckers for defamation (and probably for deprivation of rights and all the psychological trauma they've caused)

To Trump's syphilitic brain, countries with a trade surplus are ripping the US off and must be punished. So take that Australia! You and your massive trade deficit should be punished more. Also Australia, please spend more on defence or else...

Be better off embracing the drug angle. At least then he'd have an excuse for his batshit behaviour, now we're all left thinking he's got late stage syph

In fairness, to every other English speaking country, most of those words are actually spelled differently to how Americans butcher them.

This flues in the face of his claims during his first presidency that, being an amazing businessman and judge of character, he only uses the very best of people
comment in response to post
great comment... I don't follow OKC or Nuggets and watched the series because I wanted to see the two MVP candidates duke it out. I didn't care who won, I wanted to see who would win and one sided calls from the same two refs ruined two games. So.... sure, biased as fuck. lol
comment in response to post
Not a bad suggestion but before that happens we also need: Body cam legislation - if the camera is off then by law the officer did whatever they're accused of. Mandatory professional tele-liason - if an officer wants to intervene they have to have a psychologist in their ear commanding them.

That's what I said ... cool

This isn't how global trade works. Yes, agree that WE don't have a shortage. But why would any company sell here for less than they can get overseas? The idea of "prioritising domestic markets" is stupid. You want Australians to benefit? Stop subsidising all fossil fuel companies and tax more.

If the cheque had come from Tim Apple they wouldn't be in this mess

Also worth noting that if we see 2+ degrees warming then we'll be lucky to not lose another 10% in food production. Real four horses stuff

Typical unfortunately. We had a proposed wind farm here that got canned on community opposition grounds. It wasn't our community kicking up a stink- 2 locals, sure. But they had "experts" from a gas company come talk about the risks.

Someone needs to ban that man from using commas... oh and from running a country or any company or basically being free to do anything ...

Being blowouts indicated nothing. Re-watch the first half game 2, there were 14 bullshit calls. Both OKC bigs would have been in foul trouble if they'd been called. Instead, Nugs had to play very loose D to avoid fouls. Also, both games had the same 2 refs. I'm a spurs fan, these were rigged.
comment in response to post
Also #whocares? The reffing in game 2 and 7 Nugs v OKV demonstrated to everyone just how intent the NBA is on turning American basketball into WWE. Pathetic shit and why? Joker didn't fit the story line for MVP? Wears the wrong shoes?

Luckily for Littleproud, Maranoa is filled with fuckwits that will continue to vote for them.

Also, why does shit have to be up for debate? Engineers looked at the costs, they're responsible for the whole grid transition and making it work effectively and they concluded nuclear or heaps shit here. What's to debate? What non expert opinions are worth consulting?
comment in response to post
They actually did release numbers, just not particularly convincing ones. CSIRO employed power engineers to compare technologies on equal assumptions. LNP paid a company "frontier economics" to produce some numbers on nuclear. Not the same qualifications or assumptions

Mind blown. In Australia we get 4 weeks holiday, 10 days sick leave, 2 compassionate leave plus all the public holidays. We also get free healthcare

Preparing for the "radical left" to kick off black lives matter protests again because apparently the MAGAs are too fucking stupid to realise injustice and racism breed descent.

The flip side of this is AI being used by students to teach them the course content. Some lecturers have checked out long ago and can't be fired due to tenure.

Seems somewhat anti-constitutional. The General welfare section promotes equal treatment of states and the power of the purse is congress' not the executive branch. Pretty sure the Necessary and Proper clause obligates congress to impeach or remedy laws to stop this nonsense.

Premise that what he says is factual, it's not but lets pretend... you'd still need a have due process to assure they're actually here illegally. You'd also then need to strongly question the deportation laws, why are there laws governing deportations that can't be enforced by the court?

They've only got 40 active 4 stars so firing 8 isn't so much a cost saving as it is likely targetting democrat leaning officers or officers likely to follow the constitution

The problem is evidently that Biden was a fairly boring presidency. He competently did the job and life went on as normal. Media these days are all struggling for engagement so they sensationalise. Trump on the hand, isn't boring, he's scary af

It capitulates America's only real economic strength over China. They have triple the population and cheap labour, the US has unmanageable debt and is the defacto world currency only due to its trade and technological advancement.
