"windy ride" and "short bursts" get layers when juxtaposed with "butt injury"

@rgarner.bsky.social not that imaginative of an analogy, as it relies on commonplace anti-fat bias and stereotypes. Don't punch down, folks. That's part of what "None of us are free until all of us are free" means

Thank you!! I was hoping someone else would mention it so I can hop on the hatewagon. I'd have hated it anyway, but what turned it into intense revulsion was having to listen to it blasted on repeat outside a third rate shopping mall, 5 or 6 times, before deciding my friend wasn't going to show up 😩

It looks great! I once made a basket for a cat I was occasionally cat-sitting for, and all he did was bap it once, then utterly ignore it 😾 And none of my foster cats since have shown the slightest interest in it 😶‍🌫️

Is it fun? Absolutely not! Is it better for your mental health than subjecting yourself to the nonstop river of doom that's trying to drown you in hopelessness on social media? It sure is! And you have a slightly cleaner home when you're done! Win/win!

Interested in the book but it’s not in the budget? Check if your library has it — if not, your friendly local librarian can help you get your hands on a copy! Libraries, especially now, are incredible resources; make use of them so they stay funded and accessible for your community.

To clarify: I’m not against innovation. But we don’t need 364 types of battery for e-bikes, or 67 different shapes for food containers. If there’s minimal functional benefit to a different design, use the standard one!

You may be aware of this already, of course, but it doesn't come through in your message (and other people reading this might not be aware at all) hai.stanford.edu/news/ai-dete...

For me it's not the time, it's the energy it takes 🤷 physical *and* cognitive. Your (generic you) energy conservation needs are valid!
