Desantis absolutely does not get enough blame for this mess. He saw an opportunity after Jan 6 and seized on the nascent COVID backlash to go from encouraging seniors to vaccinate, to launching a full on “medical freedom” crusade basically overnight out of pure cynical ambition for the crown.

This doesn’t feel like fair engagement with or framing of Donnie’s article. He’s speaking specifically to dealing with close loved ones going through this, not randos online or in the wild.
