I’m no beginner. Used a combination of Berol color pencils and pro Sennelier oil pastels. Use them for all my published illustrations for children’s books and ads.

Colored pencil is more forgiving than watercolor. Very good work. I combine oil pastel with colored pencil. You should try it.

I agree. Hands are the hardest to draw. Used to think it was the eyes. But I have since mastered that. As an illustrator for over 30 years…I spend more time on hands than any other part of anatomy.

One thing for sure…Marx was not in favor of slavery. Don’t forget that England had already ended their slave trade decades before 1861.The secessionists in the south ( Confederacy) refused to end the slave trade.
