You claim that these illegal acts aren’t happening despite very readily available proof. You claim it despite the rendered judgements of dozens of seated federal justices. You want Trump, the force behind these human atrocities, to be remembered well. Which of us is filled with hate?

U.S. Officials Sold Stocks Before Trump’s Tariffs Sank the Market www.propublica.org/article/us-o...

The head of DHS has posed for photos with prisoners for publicity- illegal. Those are only four examples- there are more. The important fact here is that though they will inevitably be thrown under the bus by Trump, these people were only chosen because they will blindly follow his orders.

The AG used insider knowledge to profit from stock sales before trump’s announcement of tariff changes- illegal. The sec of education is trying to abolish the depart of education- illegal. The Secretary of State has illegally deported many residents to torture prisons in El Salvador.

You claim to be an educator and just posted five replies worth of lies you made up from nothing. You knowing about me, and you clearly haven’t been paying attention to what is happening in our government.

He chose cabinet secretaries who will ignore the law and the will of the American people to be loyal to his own agenda. In only four months he has driven a great economy toward recession and alienated our allies while enriching himself. That is how history will remember him. Open your eyes.

Bluesky hasn’t gotten worse. Biden is a weirdly divisive topic to to Dems- a high percentage can’t seem to tolerate any level of criticism toward him and more just want to fully ignore mistakes in the past and wholly focus on Trump. You’re likely also sharing in some general anger toward all media
comment in response to post
Adults can hold thoughts on multiple topics. Yes, Trump and the GoP are terrible and destroying this country. It’s ALSO true that Biden’s declining competency was covered up. Biden never should have ran for 2024. If we ignore that mistake we’ll inevitably repeat it in the future.

Elon’s Twitter purchase was literally never about freedom of speech. He’s just another billionaire wanting to sell you his curated version of the news- the version that is most likely to further increase his net worth. Is it possible to have billions and not be a sociopath?
comment in response to post
This isn’t stupidity, but deliberate propaganda crafted in a collaboration between station owners and political operatives. This is the direct result of unregulated capitalism-billionaires with illegal monopolies now so powerful they can control what is presented as “news.”
comment in response to post
Trump famously cares about the legality of his actions and is consistently held accountable for his rare missteps, true.
comment in response to post
By all accounts, he’d approve. Jobs once lied about being sterile to avoid child support.

I’m replying that the President needs to be capable day and night, because emergencies occur at all hours. Yes, he was sick and tired. This is just another reason to elect someone younger with a more robust immune system to the most important job in the world. It’s a 4yr term- imagine him in 2027.

The truth is that our only two political parties hold too much power. The DNC was able to clear the primary field for incumbent Biden instead of allowing us a true primary. If Biden had been forced to debate a year earlier against Dem challengers, our democracy might have avoided this catastrophe.
comment in response to post
Respectfully, he was also 81 and he completely failed to rebut the same tired lies that Trump has been telling for several years. Do you honestly believe that the President doesn’t need to be capable even while jet lagged and on cold meds? The responsibility of the office demands it.
comment in response to post
You know it’s possible that they could both be in decline, right? Did you watch the debate? This isn’t an either/or scenario. They’re both very old men. This is a country of more than 300M- there are better options than men who can’t function cognitively after sundown. We needed a real primary.
comment in response to post
Why should they rush out when they’re being paid so well for their corrupt actions?
comment in response to post
Unrealistic. Most of the maga cult is in far too deep to ever admit they were played by a compromised billionaire buffoon.
comment in response to post
Posting about sending a letter to a sociopathic authoritarian as if it will have *any* effect at all. This is just embarrassing. I really expected more of you.

I would have voted for Senator Warren in 2020, but now I think it’s clear that we need younger voices who don’t yet consider themselves bound by futile yearnings for bipartisanship and decorum.
comment in response to post
I’d hesitate to give them that much credit. Smart money is on them all being stupid and incompetent.
comment in response to post
I don’t disagree, but what would that look like? Who’s going to arrest them, Kash Patel’s FBI? Assuming they’re convicted, what happens when Trump pardons them- can they be reinstated? I suspect things will need to grow much worse before the corrupt GoP might support charges or impeachment.
comment in response to post
Is it naive to think he’s been threatened or coerced? He’s a different person than he was two months ago, acting like he’s been compromised.

Communicating with the citizenry in ways that are relevant in 2025 should be part of the job description for any representative in public office. These people all have staff that could and should be managing social media accounts.
comment in response to post
Well, yes, and yet I’m not the one dressing the presidential cabinet in spandex, sweetie.
comment in response to post
You’d certainly know something about being embarrassing.
comment in response to post
Enough posting about Trump’s crimes, everyone here is very aware. It’s time to show that you’re better than the old white men running the party- call for Schumer’s removal as minority leader, create and enact a plan to start fighting back.
comment in response to post
Empirical data suggests they go to work for the current White House administration.
comment in response to post
I believe that backing out of the agreement he’d made with house Dems, ignoring the voices of his constituents, and then announcing a self-aggrandizing book tour the next day might mean he is no longer a good man.

The nail was citizens united.
comment in response to post
I hate to beat the same dead horse, but trump’s press secretary was in front of a camera two days ago saying they wouldn’t honor the court rulings, that a “low level” judge couldn’t override a presidential command.
comment in response to post
You weren’t misled. You were likely taught, as I was, to verify the accuracy of any sources of information. I know SO many who readily believe everything they see on the news (or random, unverified Twitter accounts) and immediately treat it as fact. That failure can be remedied through education.
comment in response to post
How many stories have already been written about voters who didn’t understand what they were choosing? How many believed that tariffs wouldn’t increase prices? The GoP strategy of defunding education over decades has been successful for them.
comment in response to post
I’ve never claimed that education was a cure all, and of course there will always be those who might leverage their education to inflict harm. Still, in a democratic society those future fascists must first be enabled by misguided or ill informed voters.
comment in response to post
I’m see. You don’t think that passing the budget they wanted without any concessions gives them even more legitimacy to continue on as they are?
comment in response to post
Could you explain how a shutdown would give Elon more power when he’s already doing everything he wants, including illegal firings, without any accountability?
comment in response to post
There’s absolutely some truth in that. I also think it’s true that non-economic interests are often used as levers to incite fear or rage or victimhood as a means of advancing an economic agenda. Dismantling high ed. certainly won’t lessen ideological blinders.
comment in response to post
It’s also easier to control a population when they’ve never been taught how to think critically or verify a source. The south has been voting against their own best interests for decades because the less educated are easier to lie to.
comment in response to post
I followed you for years, believing you could be the future of our party. You spent so many months claiming to be a climate champion… only to vote for a budget that further harms the climate, America, and democratic efforts worldwide. Were you threatened, were you bought? Were you always a fraud?
comment in response to post
You’ve lost the larger perspective, you’ve failed to provide any strategic plan to combat their assault on democracy, and you seem to lack energy to oppose them in meaningful ways. Pass THEIR harmful budget? It’s time for you to retire. Don’t wait for your term to end. Do it now, do it for America.
comment in response to post
Terrific thread. Is it ego or ignorance that leads Trump’s current lawyers to believe they’ll escape the absolute ruin of his previous attorneys?
comment in response to post
Schiff took money from corporate lobbyists, Porter never has.
comment in response to post
You are actively helping an authoritarian regime destroy America. You have betrayed the citizens who voted for you and the constitution you swore to uphold. Your weak spin on Democratic resistance is performative, and no one is buying tickets to your show.
comment in response to post
You are officially part of the problem. Retire.
comment in response to post
A positioning carefully chosen to not alienate potential donors for a future presidential run. If you believe that’s the correct choice in this moment, then you aren’t as savvy as you think you are.

They’re both sociopaths. You won’t change their minds with emotional appeals. Be smarter.
