Suicide is common in America (two of my grandparents died that way). Usually, it isn't anyone's fault. Survivors shouldn't feel guilt. Protect your mental health and seek therapy if it weighs on you.

New York, aren't you tired of Cuomo?

LIGO's 2 sites are in WA and LA. WA has a Democratic gov, and the communities surrounding its LIGO site have the highest number of PhDs per capita in the Pacific Northwest, 2 things Trump hates. LIGO detected gravitational waves; an important breakthrough in understanding black holes.

It's going to be hard to limit the pardon power of presidents because it's explicitly stated in the Constitution. Normally, the shame of using poor judgement keeps presidents from pardoning people who don't deserve it; Trump is immune to shame.

Human Rights Watch has to be placing the US near the bottom of the list now. Years ago, they listed us just above Saudi Arabia. We must be below it now.

What he went through in Siberia was horrific. We should be granting asylum. I hope he can find refuge somewhere, if not here, maybe Canada.

I was listening to a reporter who follows MAGA, and he described it as sports fanatics who love it when the other team loses, only in politics the stakes are real. If true, this strikes me as a total disconnect, that they are rooting for people to get hurt and think it's funny when they do.

It is sad that unless they get a financial gut punch, they could care less about anyone else Trump is hurting.

If they end virtually all research funding, attack academic freedom of universities and think tanks, it is laughable to think we will win at being anything but last.

When criminals enforce the laws, the laws get reversed to where what is lawful is criminal, and what is criminal is sanctioned. This is Alice deep down the rabbit hole, in the dystopian world of kleptocracy.

Anybody else wondering how many of the 1600 Jan 6th rioters, pardoned by Trump, walked straight into new jobs with ICE

You would think proof of some form of id would be a good thing, so impostors can't easily abduct people. Or maybe, they are so eager to disappear people, they welcome impostors.
comment in response to post
This is so scary. Anyone with a mask can waltz into a courtroom and abduct someone. With no id, no warrant, no due process, people can easily be disappeared, perhaps for good.

There Youtube videos of these "rangents." Very frustrating for viewers because they are hard to follow.

For those who have looked into Project 2025, and for those who have listened to Trump talk tariffs for decades, there are few surprises now. Disappointments, yes, surprises, no.

You know what Donald is looking for is a generous bribe, or at least a "trophy," like Mexico's posting guards along the border.

Is there anything more magical than a night in the New Mexican desert? Stars shine like diamonds against a rich, black velvet sky.

We saw that one clip in the oval office when his eyes were half closed, half rolling back in his head, his head was lollying, and he was smiling slightly. He was soooo high.
