Comic-book characters, unbelievable story, no political or social commentary, lousy acting, preposterous dialogue, a ridiculously simplistic morality. https://www.networkisa.org/profile/eric-lotter

#scriptchat so- I have started writing a really dark character that I find having to take frequent breaks from. Anyone else feel the darkness/creep when writing in areas you don’t visit often? #scriptsky

#scriptchat (messing with the algorithm. ) May was fun. 4 of my projects made some waves. #scriptsky

#scriptchat upgraded 18th Annual StoryPros Award to Semifinalist. And got some hardware for Guardrails! My wins this week.

I have every screenwriting lesson I've written for the Story and Plot Weekly Email posted here as an archive. You can browse, search, share, and even break it down into different topics if you're struggling with something. It's all absolutely free. storyandplot.link/weekly #scriptsky

#scriptsky I HATE THIS character. But he is in my head. A cold, calculating sociopath. Beneath his calm, polite exterior lies a chilling lack of empathy and a terrifying gift for mimicry. Patrick manipulates those around him, especially women, through emotional charm and careful observation.

#scriptsky. 24 pages short of my target feature length of my new script. A Psychological Thriller -Frozen Lies- A man drives west with a cooler full of bodies and a plan to erase his past, but as survivors close in, his mask of normalcy shatters. “Some monsters don’t hide. They rehearse.”

#scriptsky That feeling you get when you get coverage on a script and you’re like WHAT HELL? Then you realize THAT draft was SOOO last month!

#scriptsky When the recognition takes its physical form! This is a pretty cool keepsake! Guardrails - Best Sci-Fi Hollywood Best Indie Film Award

This is “The Embarkation” Featured on the 10k dollar bill. It serves as plot device in my Old Harbor Creek pilot/series. With references to America’s hometown.

#scriptsky. This is very cool. Guardrails has moved into the next round! Congrats to my fellow semifinalist. Good luck the rest of the way! (I will not tag them and let them wake to the news!)

#scriptsky real quick advice needed: Do I go for a cinematic/personal or technical tone to pitch myself and project to a producer in a 1-2 minute video.

#scriptsky. From my Blacklist coverage. Some great, encouraging stuff. “Trending toward Sci-Fact.” I like that. I got dinged really hard on 2 things. Neither fatal flaws.

#scriptsky -The Dream Weaver- my fantasy short script has been recognized! criticschoicefilms.com/results

#scriptsky -Guardrails- my little Sci-fi, techno-thriller has been recognized again! criticschoicefilms.com/results

One of my WIPs. - Frozen Lies - A frozen body. A drifter with too many explanations. As a haunted detective digs deeper, the line between victim and monster begins to blur in a case colder than the corpse. Based on actual events. #scriptsky #firstpagefriday

The Twelve Rings of Olympus - When a group of teenagers discovers the long-lost Twelve Rings of Olympus, each imbued with the power of a Greek god, they must unlock their mythic abilities and outrun a ruthless secret organization determined to claim the rings and awaken an ancient force. I was 11.

We meet these two early on in a quite moment. Written with obvious subtext. All hell breaks loose later! - Guardrails - a sci-fi techno thriller.

#scriptsky - So this happened! I got a request for concept material for Recapture/Nexus from a production company. They have a lead and a director in mind. Not what I expected to wake up to on a Mon...er... Tuesday morning.

#Scriptsky Thank you StoryPros for recognizing Guardrails! And congrats to the other QF in this year’s competition. Bunch of familiar names. I am humbled to be among you.
